American League reserves revealed for All-Star Game
On Sunday, Major League Baseball revealed the American League reserves for the 2014 All-Star Game, which will be held on July 15 at Target Field in Minneapolis.

American League starters revealed for All-Star Game
On Sunday, Major League Baseball revealed the American League starting lineup for the 2014 All-Star Game, which will be held on July 15 at Target Field in Minneapolis. Orioles catcher Matt Wieters was voted as a starter, but Royals catcher Salvador Perez will take his place behind the plate for the game. Other injured players will likely be replaced on the roster moving forward.

Yan Gomes continues strong year with two doubles
Indians catcher Yan Gomes maintained his consistency and production Tuesday night against the Dodgers not only by completing a triple play with a strike to second, but also with run-scoring doubles in the sixth and eighth innings.
Gomes, who has 30 RBI this season and has hit safely in nine of his last 11 games, sweetened his stat line to .268/.310/.425.

Royals catcher Salvador Perez went 2 for 4 with a solo home run in his team's 6-1 win over the Twins Monday.
Perez wrapped up a productive June in style, boosting his average from .253 to .287 by the end of the month while knocking half of his 10 home runs during June. He has hit .287/.334/.455 with 29 RBI in 279 at-bats.

Gomes' sixth-inning home run increased his team's lead to five runs, and it was far more offense than starting pitcher Josh Tomlin would need, as he tossed a near-perfect game with Gomes behind the plate. The catcher has hit .267/.311/.421 with nine home runs and 28 RBI in 247 at-bats.
