  • Jonah Heim C | TEX

Rangers' Jonah Heim: Getting afternoon off

Heim is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Diamondbacks.

Heim will take a seat for Wednesday's matinee after he logged eight innings behind the plate in the Rangers' 6-0 loss Tuesday night. Carson Kelly will start at catcher in the series finale in Arizona.

  • Royals' Salvador Perez: Reaches 100-RBI mark

Perez went 2-for-3 with two RBI in Tuesday's 5-0 win over the Yankees.

Perez has six RBI over his last three games. That surge of run production has made him the sixth player in the majors this year to reach the 100-RBI threshold. For the year, he's at a .277/.337/.475 slash line with 26 home runs, 27 doubles, 56 runs scored and no stolen bases over 143 contests. With Vinnie Pasquantino (thumb) out through the end of the regular season, Perez has picked up more time at first base. He's played enough at catcher (83 games) and first base (43 games) to retain eligibility at both positions entering 2025.

  • Blue Jays' Alejandro Kirk: Day off Wednesday

Kirk is not in the lineup for Wednesday's contest against the Mets.

Kirk started at catcher in both of the first two games of the series but will begin Wednesday's finale on the bench. Brian Serven will be behind the dish and batting ninth for the Blue Jays.

  • Bo Naylor C | CLE

Guardians' Bo Naylor: Not in lineup

Naylor is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's contest versus the White Sox.

After catching both of the first two games of the series, Naylor will take a seat for Wednesday's matinee. Austin Hedges will start behind the dish as the Guardians try to complete the sweep.

  • Cal Raleigh C | SEA

Mariners' Cal Raleigh: Reaches 30-homer mark

Raleigh went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's loss to the Padres.

Raleigh got the Mariners on the board early with a first-inning solo home run off Yu Darvish to bring him up to 30 home runs for a second consecutive season. The 27-year-old is batting .333/.378/.667 with three homers, 11 RBI and seven runs over his last eight games and leads the Mariners by a wide margin in home runs and RBI. For the year, he's slashing .213/.304/.431 with 45 extra-base hits, 91 RBI, 64 runs, six steals and a 60:161 BB:K in 553 plate appearances.

  • Korey Lee C | CHW

White Sox's Korey Lee: Sitting out afternoon game

Lee is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Guardians.

Lee started each of the previous three contests, but he'll get a breather Wednesday as the White Sox and Guardians wrap up their series with an afternoon game. Chuckie Robinson will catch and bat eighth.

  • Connor Wong C | BOS

Red Sox's Connor Wong: Collects pair of doubles in loss

Wong went 2-for-4 with two doubles and a run scored in Tuesday's 5-3 loss to Baltimore.

Wong hit safely for a fourth consecutive game and is 7-for-17 with five extra-base hits during the streak. He's experienced a production drop over July and August, but Wong's .287/.338/.439 line out of the catcher's slot still plays for fantasy managers.

  • Rays' Logan Driscoll: Back in action Tuesday

Driscoll (quad) will start at catcher and bat eighth in Tuesday's game versus the Phillies.

Driscoll had to be pulled from his last start Saturday with a bruised left quad, but he's feeling well enough to give it a go in this one. The catcher is 2-for-10 with a couple RBI in his first three major-league games.

  • Tigers' Dillon Dingler: Scratched due to illness

Dingler was scratched from the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Rockies due to an illness, Evan Woodbery of MLive.comreports.

Dingler is one of a handful of Tigers players feeling under the weather and won't start as scheduled Tuesday. The 25-year-old will be available off the bench and should rejoin the starting nine within the next couple days.

  • Bo Naylor C | CLE

Guardians' Bo Naylor: Homers, swipes two bags Monday

Naylor went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, a walk and two stolen bases in Monday's 5-3 win against the White Sox.

Naylor belted a 428-foot homer in the fourth inning to set a new career high with 12 long balls on the campaign. The catcher also swiped a bag in both the sixth and eighth frames to record his first multi-theft game of the season. In addition, Naylor's multi-hit performance was his first since Aug. 24 -- he came in batting .174 (4-for-23) over his previous 10 contests.
