Travis d'Arnaud C | LAA
Angels' Travis d'Arnaud: Back from IL
The Angels reinstated d'Arnaud (foot) from the injured list Wednesday.
The Angels had been aiming to get d'Arnaud back on the active roster over the weekend, but he'll rejoin the team a few days early to replenish the depth the team lost by trading Logan O'Hoppe to the Rangers on Wednesday. D'Arnaud hasn't been especially productive since joining the Angels in 2025, slashing just .198/.262/.339 across 271 plate appearances with the organization. However, with Tyler Heineman representing his only healthy competition on the big-league roster, d'Arnaud should get his fair share of starts.

Danny Jansen C | TEX
Rangers' Danny Jansen: Shifts to 60-day IL
The Rangers transferred Jansen (forearm) to the 60-day injured list Wednesday.
Jansen has been on the injured list since June 6 due to a strained right forearm. His move to the 60-day IL will make him ineligible to return until Aug. 5, though he's likely to remain on the shelf beyond that after suffering a setback in his recovery last week. The Rangers traded for Logan O'Hoppe to fill the vacancy on the 40-man roster.

Rangers' Logan O'Hoppe: Traded to Rangers, sent to Triple-A
The Angels traded O'Hoppe and Chase Silseth to the Rangers on Wednesday in exchange for minor-league infielder Angel Arredondo, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.
O'Hoppe had been losing playing time with the Angels to Tyler Heineman, and the former will now find a new home with the Rangers, who are currently navigating injuries to Danny Jansen (forearm) and Kyle Higashioka (forearm). O'Hoppe's offensive output has taken a step back this season, as he's slashing just .209/.271/.295 with four homers, 23 RBI and 20 runs scored through 256 plate appearances, so the Rangers will send him down to Triple-A Round Rock to right the ship, per Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News. If O'Hoppe rediscovers his swing in the minors, he could be brought back up to the majors later this year.

Travis d'Arnaud C | LAA
Angels' Travis d'Arnaud: Could be activated soon
D'arnaud (foot) could be activated from the injured list as soon as Friday, MLB.com reports.
D'arnaud has played six games so far during his minor-league rehab assignment, slashing .227/.261/.273 with a double, two RBI and a 1:7 BB:K. The veteran catcher has yet to catch on back-to-back days, which the Angels have set as a baseline for his activation from the IL, but that could happen as soon as Wednesday. Should that be the case, d'Arnaud may be ready to return to the Angels for the team's series opener against Milwaukee on Friday. Tyler Heineman and Logan O'Hoppe are currently working as the Angels' catchers, so one of them may be moved off the 26-man roster upon d'Arnaud's return.

Sebastian Rivero C | LAA
Angels' Sebastian Rivero: On rehab assignment
Rivero (hand) began a rehab assignment Saturday and has gone 3-for-7 with a home run in his first two rehab contests.
Rivero played one rehab game in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League before being moved up to Single-A Rancho Cucamonga on Tuesday. The catcher has been out since early June following left hamate bone surgery. It's not a given that Rivero will be returned to the Angels' roster once he's physically ready.

Connor Wong C | BOS
Red Sox's Connor Wong: Homers off bench
Wong went 1-for-1 with a home run and two RBI in Tuesday's 4-3 loss to the Athletics.
Wong entered the game in the eighth inning after starter Carlos Narvaez was removed for a pinch hitter. The Red Sox rallied from a 3-0 deficit over the final two innings, which included Wong's two-run homer in the ninth, but the rally fell short. He's batting just .182 (4-for-22) with nine strikeouts since the break.

Brian Serven C | ATH
Athletics' Brian Serven: Blasts first homer
Serven went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Red Sox.
Serven broke the game open in the seventh inning, taking Jake Bennett deep for a two-run homer. It was his first home run as a member of the Athletics and his first major-league homer since 2022. The veteran backstop has logged just seven plate appearances at the major-league level this season, collecting two hits including Tuesday's long ball. With Shea Langeliers sidelined by a torn meniscus, Serven could receive an extended chance in the majors this time around. He slashed .308/.401/.538 across 61 games at Triple-A Las Vegas and is expected to serve as the backup catcher behind fill-in starter Jonah Heim.

Cal Raleigh C | SEA
Mariners' Cal Raleigh: Belts homer in win
Raleigh went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 7-6 win over the Dodgers.
Raleigh's second-inning blast answered a Shohei Ohtani homer from the opening frame. It's now been 15 games since Raleigh last had a multi-hit effort, going just 8-for-52 (.154) in that span. The prolonged slump at the plate has caused the catcher to plunge in the order. Raleigh hit second early on, but he has been fifth or sixth in the lineup in four of his last five games. Overall, he's batting .166 with a .579 OPS, 11 homers, 36 RBI, 25 runs scored, seven doubles and two stolen bases over 75 contests.

Austin Wynns C | TEX
Rangers' Austin Wynns: Clubs first homer of season
Wynns went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, a run scored, a walk and a strikeout in Texas' 4-1 win over Tampa Bay on Tuesday.
Wynns blasted his first home run of the season in the seventh to extend the Rangers' lead to 3-1. The 35-year-old, who recently had his contract selected by Texas on July 21, picked up just his second base knock since joining the club. The catcher has spent time with three different teams this season, slashing .098/.154/.148 with one homer and one RBI in 66 plate appearances.
