The Blue Jays designated Serven for assignment Monday.

Serven hit only .159/.243/.222 over 28 contests with Toronto. The Blue Jays are replacing him with Tyler Heineman, who will be the backup catcher behind Alejandro Kirk down the stretch.

Fermin is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Tigers.

Fermin will be on the bench for the second day in a row, but he should be a semi-regular presence in the lineup over the final two weeks of the season while the Royals give veteran catcher Salvador Perez time off behind the plate and deploy him at first base or designated hitter. Though he's mustered an underwhelming .505 OPS thus far in September, Fermin has been a near-league-average hitter (101 wRC+) with a .286/.335/.387 slash line over 344 plate appearances for the season.

Langeliers entered Sunday's loss to the White Sox in the ninth inning as a pinch hitter and hit a solo home run in his only at-bat.

Langeliers had ceded catching duties to Kyle McCann to open the day, yet he was able to come through off the bench with his 26th homer of the season. The round tripper got the Athletics to within one run, but the rally stagnated at that point. Langeliers snapped a 10-game extra-base-hit drought with the timely blast, as well as a brief 0-for-13 skid that had encompassed his last three games.

Rutschman went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk in Sunday's 4-2 loss to the Tigers.

This was Rutschman's first homer in nearly a month, and he hit just .175 (14-for-80) over 22 contests between long balls. It's been an unusually long slump for the star catcher, which has seen him drop to fifth in the order after most frequently batting second for most of the season. He's still got some time to set aim for his second straight 20-homer year -- he's one shy now while adding 76 RBI, 63 runs scored, one stolen base and a .254/.324/.400 slash line over 137 contests.

The Angels selected Campero's contract from Triple-A Salt Lake on Sunday.

Campero has spent most of the season at Double-A Rocket City, where he posted an .888 OPS with 14 home runs and 29 steals in 93 games before earning a promotion to Salt Lake in August. The 26-year-old isn't likely to have a regular role with Anaheim, but he could still see some opportunities during the final two weeks of the regular season. He caught 34 games in the minors in 2023, but he's played exclusively in the corner outfield or at designated hitter in 2024.

Raleigh is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rangers.

Raleigh's absence from the lineup ends a run of 19 straight starts, during which he posted a .229/.341/.400 slash line with three homers, 15 RBI and 10 runs. Mitch Garver will step in behind the plate to catch for right-hander George Kirby.
