Grandal went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, two walks, three RBI and three runs scored Tuesday against the Mets.

Grandal has lost out on playing time to Seby Zavala behind the plate since early July, though he's started three of the last four games thanks to the absence of Eloy Jimenez (groin). While he contributed to a furious White Sox rally Tuesday with his seventh homer of the season, Grandal figures to shift back to limited playing time upon Jimenez's return -- anticipated in the coming days.

Trevino is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Angels.

Kyle Higashioka will start at catcher and bat eighth versus the Halos and left-hander Patrick Sandoval. Trevino was behind the plate for the Yankees on Sunday and Monday.

Wong is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Athletics.

Wong went 3-for-4 with three RBI as the Red Sox earned a 7-0 shutout victory in Monday's series opener at Oakland, but it'll be Jorge Alfaro handling the catching duties in Tuesday night's tilt.

Perez isn't in the Royals' lineup Tuesday against the Tigers.

Though Perez will miss his second start after suffering a Grade 1 plus strain in his left hamstring Sunday against Tampa Bay, he participated in activities before Tuesday's game and is progressing nicely, per Anne Rogers of MLB.com. Freddy Fermin will once again start behind the dish and bat sixth while Perez recovers.

Soderstrom is not in the starting lineup Tuesday against Boston.

Soderstrom will take a seat after he started the first four games following the All-Star break, going 3-for-13 while drawing two walks and striking out three times. Jordan Diaz will draw the start at designated hitter and bat third versus the Red Sox.

Maldonado will sit Tuesday versus the Rockies.

Maldonado will get a breather after he went 2-for-12 with a double, two RBI and a run scored while starting all three of the Astros' games during their series with Angels. Yainer Diaz will take over behind the plate and bat sixth in the series opener with Colorado.

Kirk is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game versus the Padres, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.

It will be Danny Jansen catching Alek Manoah. Kirk is in the midst of a 3-for-39 slump at the plate, which has his OPS on the year down to .610.
