Harry Ford C | WAS
Mariners' Harry Ford: Strong first full pro season
Ford appeared in 104 games for Single-A Modesto in 2022 and batted .274/.425/.438 with 11 home runs, 23 steals and an 88:115 BB:K.
The 2021 first-rounder impressed all year with his plate discipline and baserunning, though he did fall a bit short in the power department. Ford started the season cold, hitting just .196 over his first 38 games, but from June 12 through the end of the campaign, he put up a sparkling .320/.459/.530 line. Look for the 19-year-old backstop to open next season with High-A Everett.

Cal Raleigh C | SEA
Mariners' Cal Raleigh: Plays full game behind dish in loss
Raleigh (thumb) started and played a full game at catcher in a loss to the Athletics on Wednesday, going 0-for-2 with a walk.
The backstop had missed four of the previous five games with his thumb injury, so his ability to put in a full game Wednesday was an encouraging development. Raleigh has now reached safely in three of his past four appearances, but overall this year it's his power (42 extra-base hits, including 23 home runs) has led to a .465 slugging percentage that's helped offset a forgettable .203 average and .278 OBP.

Twins' Gary Sanchez: Out of Thursday's lineup

Sanchez is hitting .175 with one home run, 22 strikeouts and three walks in 20 games this month. Caleb Hamilton will start behind the dish and hit ninth Thursday in Kansas City.
