Stassi went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 7-4 loss to the Yankees.

Stassi tied the game at 2-2 with a homer in the second inning, but the Yankees took the lead back in the top of the third. Playing time has gotten a little thin for Stassi lately, though it's been warranted, as he entered Tuesday in a 1-for-39 slump across his previous 10 games. That cold spell has dropped his slash line to .191/.277/.318 with eight homers, 26 RBI, 26 runs scored and 10 doubles through 85 contests this year. Stassi, Matt Thaiss and Kurt Suzuki have each started two of the Angels' last six games at catcher, which makes it difficult for any of them to carve out enough playing time to help fantasy managers.

Trevino is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Angels.

Trevino went 0-for-4 with a strikeout Monday after missing the previous two games with a foot injury, and he'll return to the bench for Tuesday's contest. Kyle Higashioka will take over behind the plate and bat ninth.

Maldonado won't start Tuesday or Wednesday against the Rangers due to swelling in his right hand, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

The 36-year-old was hit by a pitch Sunday against the Orioles and will sit out a couple days to allow the swelling in his hand to subside. Christian Vazquez is starting behind the plate Tuesday and should receive another start Wednesday before Houston has a scheduled day off Thursday.

Manager Tony La Russa said Grandal (knee) is expected to be reinstated from the 10-day injured list Wednesday, James Fegan of The Athletic reports.

The 33-year-old reported to Triple-A Charlotte on Friday and will rejoin the White Sox after going 5-for-11 with two walks, a home run, a double and four RBI in three rehab games. With Eloy Jimenez mostly being limited to designated-hitter duties, Grandal is likely to see most of his time behind the plate rather than splitting time between catcher and designated hitter.

Maldonado is on the bench for Tuesday's game against the Rangers, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Maldonado takes a seat while Christian Vazquez fills in behind the plate. Maldonado has been a non-factor offensively in his last 10 games, going 3-for-29 with no RBI and 10 strikeouts.

Kirk is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Cubs.

Kirk heads to the bench after making two starts apiece at catcher and designated hitter over the Blue Jays' last four contests while going 2-for-14 with four walks. Danny Jansen will relieve Kirk behind the plate Tuesday, while George Springer gets a day out of the outfield to handle DH duties.

Langeliers is on the bench Tuesday against the Nationals.

It's been a rough past couple games for Langeliers, as he's struck out six times while going 0-for-9. Stephen Vogt is filling in as the designated hitter Tuesday.

McGuire will start at catcher and bat ninth in Tuesday's game against the Twins, Chris Cotillo of The Springfield Republican reports.

McGuire has been on the bench for stretches of two and three straight contests over the past couple weeks, but he'll be picking up his third consecutive turn behind the dish Tuesday. The playing-time situation at catcher remains a difficult one to predict, but McGuire looks to have the edge over Kevin Plawecki at the moment.

Haase isn't starting Tuesday's game against the Mariners.

Haase went 1-for-4 with a pair of runs Sunday and is hitting .250 over his last seven games. Tucker Barnhart will catch and bat eighth Tuesday.

Diaz will have his contract selected from Triple-A Sugar Land when rosters expand Sept. 1, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Diaz will need to wait a few more days before officially receiving his first chance in the big leagues. He will not only add depth behind the dish down the stretch, but he also has experience at first base and the corner-outfield spots. The 23-year-old began his 2022 campaign in Double-A before getting promoted to Triple-A on June 21, where he's slashed .294/.342/.587 with 16 home runs, 48 RBI, one stolen base and 38 runs scored over 48 games.
