Haase went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Wednesday's win over the Giants.

Haase's only hit of the day was a big one, as he broke open a 1-1 tie with a two-run blast in the sixth inning. The 29-year-old now has five home runs this season, and he may have an uphill battle matching or surpassing the 22 long balls he recorded a season ago during a breakout campaign. Haase offers some power potential when he's in the lineup, but his playing time and overall production leave plenty to be desired.

Murphy (shoulder) was transferred to the 60-day injured list Wednesday.

Murphy's move to the 60-day IL is simply procedural, as the Mariners announced last week that the catcher will require season-ending shoulder surgery. Luis Torrens (shoulder) landed on the 10-day IL on Monday, so Andrew Knapp is on the active roster to serve as the primary backup to Cal Raleigh behind the plate.

Barnhart isn't starting Wednesday's game against the Giants.

Barnhart has alternated starts behind the plate recently, and he'll take a seat after he went 0-for-2 in Tuesday's loss to San Francisco. Eric Haase is starting at catcher and batting fifth.

Heim isn't in the lineup Wednesday against Kansas City.

Heim started in the last three games and went 4-for-12 with a homer, three RBI, two runs and a strikeout. Meibrys Viloria is taking over behind the dish and batting ninth.

Murphy is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Yankees.

With Oakland concluding its series in New York with a day game after a night game, Murphy will get a breather after he was behind the plate for both of the past two evenings. Stephen Vogt will catch for starting pitcher Cole Irvin on Wednesday.

Maldonado isn't starting Wednesday against the Mets.

Maldonado is getting a breather after he went 1-for-11 with seven strikeouts over the last three games. Jason Castro is taking over behind the dish and batting eighth.

Trevino isn't in the lineup Wednesday against the Athletics.

Trevino went 2-for-12 with a double, three RBI, a run and four strikeouts while starting in the last four games. Kyle Higashioka is taking over behind the dish and batting ninth Wednesday.

Rutschman went 0-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base in Tuesday's 2-0 loss to the Mariners.

Rutschman drew a fourth-inning walk and then stole second as Ryan Mountcastle swiped third. This steal goes down as Rutschman's first in the majors, though he posted only four thefts across parts of three campaigns in the minors. The catcher saw his six-game hitting streak end Tuesday, dropping his slash line to .228/.296/.421 with three home runs, nine RBI, 15 runs scored and 11 doubles in 125 plate appearances.

Sanchez is out of the lineup for the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader with the Guardians.

Sanchez was behind the plate for the Twins' 3-2 loss in Game 1, finishing 1-for-4 with two strikeouts. Ryan Jeffers will catch for starting pitcher Josh Winder in the nightcap, and with Luis Arraez serving as Minnesota's designated hitter, the team won't have a spot in the lineup for Sanchez. The Twins also activated Jorge Polanco (back) from the 10-day injured list ahead of Game 2, and his return could result in Sanchez losing out on more opportunities to DH on his non-catching days.

Stassi is not in Tuesday's lineup against the White Sox, Sam Blum of The Athletic reports.

Stassi is hitting .185 with zero home runs, 20 strikeouts and 11 walks in 22 games this month. Kurt Suzuki will start behind the dish and hit seventh.
