Pirates catcher Chris Stewart suffered a wrist injury in Sunday's 4-1 loss to the Reds after going 2 for 3 at the plate, but X-rays on the injured wrist came back negative, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
Stewart indicated that the wrist was stiff and sore after the game. His availability for Wednesday's Wild Card matchup is in doubt, and regular starting catcher Russell Martin is also banged up.

Marlins catcher Jacob Realmuto drove in a career high four runs in Game 2 of a day-night doubleheader Friday against the Nationals.
Realmuto lined a bases-clearing triple in the sixth inning and drove in a run in the ninth. He finished 3 for 5 with two runs scored and four RBI in a 15-7 victory. He has seven hits over his first 27 big-league at-bats.

Reds catcher Devin Mesoraco received the night off because of an intercostal strain, according to MLB.com on Friday. Manager Bryan Price told reporters that Mesoraco is expected back in the lineup Saturday against the Pittsburgh.
Mesoraco has four hits over his last 17 at-bats, two of which were home runs. He owns a .276/.360/.541 slash line with a 25 homers and 78 RBI over 377 at-bats.

The Mets could lose catcher Travis d'Arnaud for the rest of the season with an undisclosed physical issue, per ESPN. Terry Collins confirmed that d'Arnaud is scheduled for an examination with team doctors Friday.
Collins added that he's unsure whether the catcher would be able to play at any point the rest of the way. If d'Arnaud is indeed sidelined, he finishes the year with a stat line of .242/.302/.416 and 48 runs scored in 385 at-bats.
