Tomas Nido C | DET
Mets' Tomas Nido: Crushes solo homer
Nido went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Friday's loss against Atlanta.
Nido's eighth-inning shot was too little and too late, as the Mets were behind by four and it would turn out to be the final run of the game as Atlanta took the win. It was Nido's third homer of the season, all of which have come this month. The catcher has been heating up in September, slashing .333/.340/.608 and raising his season batting average from .224 to .243 over that span.
