He went back-to-back with Luis Gonzalez in the fourth inning, with Bart's solo shot accounting for the margin of victory. The catcher is up to seven long balls, 14 RBI, 20 runs scored, two stolen bases and three doubles through 166 plate appearances.

Contreras went 3-for-4 with a pair of home runs and three RBI in Saturday's 6-2 win over the Diamondbacks.

Contreras went yard in his first two at-bats. He hit a two-run blast in the second inning and a solo shot in the fourth. Entering Saturday, the catcher had gone just 4-for-24 with no extra-base hits in his last seven contests. The powerful display of offense in this game gives Contreras 13 homers, 26 RBI, 26 runs scored and a pair of stolen bases with a .263/.349/.551 slash line through a career-high 189 plate appearances.

D'Arnaud is not in Saturday's lineup against the Diamondbacks.

D'Arnaud is hitting .196 with zero home runs in 16 games this month. William Contreras gets the start behind the dish, hitting seventh.

Stallings isn't starting Saturday against the Mets, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Stallings started the last two games and went 3-for-6 with a double and a run. Nick Fortes will take over behind the dish and bat eighth.

Smith went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk in a 5-4 win over the Rockies on Friday.

Smith's long ball off Chad Kuhl in the thin air of Coors Field gives him 15 total home runs on the season, the most of any catcher. Smith is slashing a quality .262/.357/.466 over 305 at-bats with 52 RBI. If Smith continues to play well down the stretch, the 27-year-old could flirt with his career-high home run total of 25 from last season.

McCann (oblique) is expected to be activated from the injured list Thursday against Atlanta, Tim Britton of The Athletic reports.

He went 1-for-3 with a run and two strikeouts Thursday for Double-A Binghamton in the first game of a rehab assignment. McCann should resume primary catcher duties once healthy, assuming the Mets don't trade for someone to slot above him on the depth chart.

Diaz isn't starting Friday against the Dodgers.

Diaz went 1-for-7 with two RBI, two walks and a strikeout over the last two games. Brian Serven will take over behind the dish and bat ninth Friday.

Narvaez is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Red Sox.

Narvaez has gone 1-for-22 over his past 10 contests and will head to the bench for Friday's game. Switch hitter Victor Caratini will take over behind the plate with lefty Austin Davis serving as an opener for Boston.

Delay isn't starting Friday against Philadelphia.

Delay has had inconsistent playing time behind the dish following the All-Star break and will retreat to the bench for the fourth time in the last six games. Tyler Heineman is starting at catcher and batting ninth.

Smith went 2-for-5 with a double, a run and three RBI in Thursday's 13-0 rout of the Rockies.

Smith played his part in a big offensive game for Los Angeles, knocking in a run with a second-inning double and plating two more with a single in the fourth. The backstop had been struggling coming into the contest, going 1-for-25 over his previous seven games. Smith hasn't homered in over two weeks, but he is still tied for the lead among MLB catchers with 14 long balls on the campaign.
