Thaiss went 3-for-5 with two runs and two RBI in an 11-7 win against St. Louis on Thursday.

Thaiss opened the scoring for Los Angeles with an RBI single in the second inning. He knocked in another run with a single in the following frame and finished with his first three-hit game of the season. Thaiss is slashing .265/.375/.412 with a home run, eight runs and six RBI through 40 plate appearances on the campaign.

The Rockies claimed Wynns off waivers Thursday, Patrick Lyons of TheDNVR.com reports.

Wynns was designated for assignment by the Dodgers on Sunday, though it didn't take him long to find a new home. He's already played for the Dodgers and Giants this season and will likely slot in as organizational depth in Colorado behind Elias Diaz and Brian Serven.

Contreras is not in the lineup Thursday at Colorado.

Victor Caratini will start behind the plate and bat sixth in Thursday afternoon's series finale at Coors Field. Contreras has connected for only one home run through 24 games (97 plate appearances) this year with the Brewers, but he's sitting on a solid .282 batting average and .371 on-base percentage.

Diaz is out of the lineup Thursday against the Brewers.

Brian Serven will catch and bat ninth in the matinee game versus the Brewers and left-hander Wade Miley. It's a standard rest day for Diaz, who has gone 7-for-16 with a double, a home run, three RBI and four runs during a modest four-game hit streak.

Hedges is out of the lineup Thursday afternoon against the Rays, Kevin Gorman of TribLive.com reports.

Hedges gets a breather after making three straight starts behind the plate for the Pirates. Jason Delay is catching and batting ninth in Thursday's matinee.

Narvaez (calf) was transferred Thursday from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day injured list, Will Sammon of The Athletic reports.

Narvaez still has at least five more weeks of rest and rehab for the medium-to-high grade calf strain that he suffered in early April. Francisco Alvarez has taken over as the Mets' primary catcher with Tomas Nido backing him up.

Amaya is starting at catcher and batting ninth for the Cubs in Thursday's game versus the Nationals, Meghan Montemurro of the Chicago Tribune reports.

It will be the major-league debut for Amaya, who received his first big-league promotion Tuesday. With Yan Gomes (concussion) out indefinitely, Amaya should see the occasional start behind Tucker Barnhart.

Heim went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 12-7 loss to Arizona.

Heim gave the Rangers an early lead with a second-inning home run, his sixth homer and 13th extra-base hit in 25 games. His .959 OPS is second on the team, as Heim has opened this season much like he did in 2022. The Rangers hope to avoid the second-half collapse the 27-year-old experienced last season. The team envisioned more of a job share at catcher, but Mitch Garver's knee injury has forced Heim into the lineup more than expected -- Wednesday was his eighth consecutive start. Cognizant of last year's collapse, Texas manager Bruce Bochy had him DH on Wednesday, the second time in six games he's served in that capacity.

Haase went a combined 4-for-8 with a double, two home runs, three runs scored and six RBI across both games of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Mets.

Haase started the first game and mashed his first home run of the season, a three-run shot in the first inning. He then caught in the nightcap and hit another long ball. Haase is now batting .278, but before Wednesday, he wasn't really driving the ball with much authority and was losing playing time to Jake Rogers. He might be able to earn back some playing time behind the plate, though Haase can also play in the outfield, so the Tigers could continue to use both him and Rogers in a variety of alignments moving forward.

Sullivan went 2-for-4 with a double, a home run and four RBI in Wednesday's 7-1 win over Cincinnati.

Sullivan was the unlikely hero in Wednesday's victory. In his fifth MLB start, the 29-year-old rookie got the Padres' offense started with a two-run double in the second inning before cranking a two-run homer off Alex Young in the fourth. In two at-bats, Sullivan recorded the first extra-base hit, home run and RBI of his major-league career. He's now 4-for-17 with a walk this season. Sullivan could see additional opportunities backing up Austin Nola behind the plate while Luis Campusano (thumb) remains sidelined.
