Haase isn't starting Monday against the Mariners.

After recording four hits over the last two games, including two home runs, Haase will get a breather Monday. Instead, Tucker Barnhart will serve as Detroit's backstop and bat eighth.

Casali was reinstated from the paternity list Monday.

Casali was away from the Mariners for their weekend series against the Athletics following the birth of his child, but he'll rejoin the active roster prior to the three-game series against the Tigers to close out the regular season. Brian O'Keefe was sent down to make room for Casali on the active roster.

Nola isn't starting Monday against the Giants.

After going 1-for-11 with an RBI in the last series against the White Sox, Nola will get a day off Monday. In his place, Luis Campusano will start behind the plate and bat seventh.

Murphy (illness) is starting Monday against the Angels.

Murphy sat out Sunday's series finale against the Mariners due to an illness, but he'll serve as the designated hitter and bat third a day later. Over his last four games, he's gone 0-for-11 with two walks and four strikeouts.

Jeffers is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the White Sox.

Gary Sanchez will get a turn behind the plate while Jeffers rests after he started at catcher in Sunday's 5-2 loss to the Tigers. Since coming off the injured list last week, Jeffers has gone 3-for-15 with a triple, a walk, two RBI and two runs in his first five games back in action.

Narvaez isn't starting Monday's game against Arizona.

Narvaez -- and his .576 OPS against left-handed pitchers -- will take a seat Monday with Tommy Henry starting for the D-backs. Victor Caratini will start behind the dish instead and bat eighth.

Grandal isn't in the lineup Monday against the Twins.

Grandal's playing time has decreased recently, and he'll be on the bench for the third time in the last four games. Carlos Perez is starting behind the plate and batting ninth.

Jansen isn't starting Monday against the Orioles.

Jansen is getting a breather after he went 6-for-14 with two home runs, two doubles, six RBI and four runs over the last four games. Alejandro Kirk will start at catcher and bat cleanup.

Trevino isn't starting Monday against the Rangers.

Trevino has gone 0-for-6 with a walk and two strikeouts over his last two games, and he'll head to the bench for the fourth time in the last six matchups. Kyle Higashioka will start behind the dish and bat eighth.

Gomes will start at catcher and bat eighth in Monday's game in Cincinnati.

Though he's in the lineup Monday, Gomes has moved back to the No. 2 role at catcher after Willson Contreras returned from the injured list last week. Contreras is just getting a breather, so Gomes will pick up a start in his stead.
