The Mets outrighted Perez to Triple-A Syracuse on Tuesday.

Perez was designated for assignment one day after the Mets' Oct. 5 regular-season finale, but he'll stick in the organization for the time being after going unclaimed off waivers. The 30-year-old backstop saw 45 games at the big-league level between the Mets and Pirates in 2022, slashing .149/.214/.298 across 132 plate appearances.

Amaya isn't participating in the Arizona Fall League after he suffered a Lisfranc fracture in his left foot while playing for Double-A Tennessee in September, Patrick Mooney and Sahadev Sharma of The Athletic report.

Tennessee's season concluded Sept. 28, but Amaya didn't see any action for the club after Sept. 11 due to the injury. The 23-year-old had already gotten off to a delayed start to the 2022 campaign after undergoing Tommy John surgery last November, and he served exclusively as a designated hitter with Tennessee and the Cubs' rookie-level Arizona Complex League affiliate once he was cleared for game action July 1. Amaya's surgically repaired throwing elbow was expected to be fully healed in time for him to catch in games during the Arizona Fall League, but the foot injury will end up costing him some valuable reps. Amaya, who was recently tendered a contract for the 2023 season and will remain on the Cubs' 40-man roster, is expected to be fully cleared for spring training, but he won't be a serious candidate to win an Opening Day role with the big club.

Pinto was left off the Rays' 26-man roster ahead of their AL Wild Card Series with the Guardians.

With Francisco Mejia returning from the paternity list Friday, Pinto was no longer needed to serve as the backup option behind Christian Bethancourt at catcher heading into the postseason. The 25-year-old Pinto produced a .213 average with two homers, 10 RBI and five runs scored over 25 games in the big leagues this season and appears unlikely to be considered for a roster spot moving forward barring any injuries.

Mejia (personal) was activated from the paternity list Friday and is on the Rays' roster for the AL Wild Card Series against the Guardians, Steve Carney of StPeteNine.comreports.

The 26-year-old was placed on the paternity list Tuesday and will rejoin the team after spending a few days with his family. Mejia is on the bench for Game 1 in Cleveland on Friday with Christian Bethancourt starting behind the plate and batting seventh.

Bemboom had his contract selected by the Orioles on Thursday, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Bemboom was designated for assignment by the Orioles in late May and spent the rest of the campaign at Triple-A Norfolk, where he posted a .228/.292/.350 slash line in 34 games. The 32-year-old was scheduled to become a minor-league free agent during the offseason, but the move to the 40-man roster will keep him with the organization for now.

McCann went 3-for-4 with three-run home run in Wednesday's win over the Nationals.

McCann singled in his first at-bat before coming back with a three-run homer to left in the bottom of the third to run the score up to 9-0. He later added another single in the eighth, giving him just his second three-hit game of the season. It was also his first home run since July 7, as he finished the year with a career-worst .539 OPS and only three long balls in 61 games.

Moreno went 4-for-7 with a three-run home run and four runs scored across both games of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Orioles.

Moreno had a strong showing in both games of the doubleheader, but the highlight came in the sixth inning of the opening contest, when he tallied his first career homer. He's bounced between Triple-A Buffalo and the big-league club this season, though he's rarely been in the lineup since being recalled Sept. 7. Moreno only has 73 plate appearances in the majors, but he has maintained an impressive .319/.356/.377 line in that span while striking out just 11 percent of the time.

Vazquez went 1-for-1 with a solo homer in Wednesday's win over the Phillies.

Vazquez entered the game in the sixth inning and crushed a solo home run in the seventh to extend the Astros' lead to 3-0. It was a nice finish to the regular season for Vazquez, who came into the game hitting just .161 since the start of September. It was also his first home run since July 22.

Heim went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's win over the Yankees.

Heim took Domingo German deep for a solo shot in the bottom of the fourth inning, tying the game at 2-2. The homer was his 16th of the season and third in his last 15 games. Heim will finish the regular season with 16 home runs, 48 RBI, 51 runs and two stolen bases while posting a .227 average over 406 at-bats in 127 games.

Trevino went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 4-2 loss to the Rangers.

Trevino ripped a single in the top of the second inning before he later launched a solo homer off Glenn Otto in the fourth frame. The home run was his 11th of the year and first since Aug. 2. The catcher has struggled to .177 average with three extra-base hits, six RBI and two runs over 62 at-bats in 21 games since the beginning of September. He'll finish the regular season with a .248 average, 11 home runs, 43 RBI, 39 runs and two stolen bases over 335 at-bats in 115 games with the Yankees.
