Korey Lee C | CHW
Astros' Korey Lee: Earns first career call-up
Lee was called up by the Astros on Friday, Danielle Lerner of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Lee is a fairly interesting prospect, with an excellent arm and good raw power, but there are questions about his hit tool. He hasn't had success at the Triple-A level, hitting .226/.285/.419 for Sugar Land through 64 games, good for just a 71 wRC+. He's presumably set to back up Martin Maldonado with Jason Castro (knee) landing on the injured list.

Cal Raleigh C | SEA
Mariners' Cal Raleigh: Resting Friday
Raleigh will sit Friday against Oakland, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.
Raleigh had a double and a triple in Thursday's series opener, but he'll hit the bench here after starting four straight games behind the plate. Andrew Knapp will make his first start as a Mariner in his place.

Tyler Stephenson C | CIN
Reds' Tyler Stephenson: Set to start rehab assignment
Stephenson (thumb) is expected to start his rehab assignment with Triple-A Louisville on Monday, Bobby Nightengale of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Stephenson is nearing a return from the broken thumb he suffered June 9, but he'll likely have to make several rehab appearances before rejoining the big league club. He's currently tracking to return just ahead of the All-Star break.

Gary Sanchez C | MIL
Twins' Gary Sanchez: On bench Friday
Sanchez (heel) is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Orioles, Aaron Gleeman of The Athletic reports.
Imaging on Sanchez's heel showed no serious damage after he was forced to leave Thursday's game. He will take it easy Friday and could perhaps sit Saturday as well, but it does not sound like Sanchez is in danger of landing on the injured list.

Ivan Herrera DH | STL
Cardinals' Ivan Herrera: Sitting again Friday
Herrera will sit Friday versus the Phillies, John Denton of MLB.com reports.
Herrera will sit for a second straight game after he made three straight starts and went 2-for-9. Andrew Knizner is starting at catcher and will bat ninth against the Phillies.

Riley Adams C | WAS
Nationals' Riley Adams: Sent down to Triple-A
Adams was optioned to Triple-A Rochester on Friday, Jesse Dougherty of The Washington Post reports.
Adams struggled to a .192 batting average with only one extra-base hit over 26 at-bats in June and will now head to Rochester. Tres Barrera was recalled in a corresponding move.

Tres Barrera C | WAS
Nationals' Tres Barrera: Called up Friday
Barrera was called up from Triple-A Rochester on Friday, Jesse Dougherty of The Washington Post reports.
Barrera will join the big league roster ahead of Friday's series opener versus the Marlins. He'll be set to make his season debut for the Nationals after he has posted a .256 batting average with seven homers, 24 RBI and 25 runs over 164 at-bats in 51 games with Rochester this year. Riley Adams was sent down to Triple-A in a corresponding move.

Cal Raleigh C | SEA
Mariners' Cal Raleigh: Knocks cover off ball Thursday
Raleigh went 2-for-4 with a double, a two-run triple and a run in a win over the Athletics on Thursday.
The young backstop continues to display his penchant for squaring up the ball, bashing his 18th and 19th extra-base hits of the campaign. Considering Raleigh has just 29 hits overall and still carries a .199 batting average, .283 on-base percentage and 30.1 percent strikeout rate, the 29-year-old still has some work to do to dig himself out of his early-season hole.

J.T. Realmuto C | PHI
Phillies' J.T. Realmuto: Day off Friday
Realmuto is not in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Cardinals.
Realmuto will get a day off after he went 3-for-11 with an RBI, a run and a stolen base in a three game series against Atlanta. Garrett Stubbs will start at catcher and bat seventh in Friday's series opener.

Sandy Leon C | ATL
Guardians' Sandy Leon: Three walks in win
Leon went 0-for-1 with three walks in Thursday's 5-3 win over the Twins.
Leon rejoined the Guardians -- the team he spent the 2020 season with -- in a trade with the Reds on Tuesday, and he's promptly played in three straight games. The veteran catcher is still in search of his first hit, going 0-for-4 with three walks and a strikeout so far. He'll likely split time with Luke Maile while Austin Hedges (concussion) is on the injured list. Leon hit a meager .222/.321/.306 in 26 games with Triple-A Louisville, so he shouldn't be expected to provide much offense in the majors.
