The specifics of the injury remain unclear, though Perez did miss time with a strain in the same shoulder earlier this season. Austin Hedges will take over behind the plate for Cleveland.

D'Arnaud has swung a hot bat all season, hitting .322/.355/.517. He'll hit the bench for the first game of the day with Tyler Flowers starting behind the plate, but he'll likely be back in action for the nightcap.

Trevino went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI in Thursday's 8-4 loss to Houston.
The 28-year-old catcher has started three of the last four games (one at DH) since the Rangers dealt Robinson Chirinos at the trade deadline. Trevino, who has a career-best .806 OPS, will serve as the primary backstop going forward.
