Gallagher isn't in the lineup Monday against the Cardinals.

Gallagher will take a seat for a second consecutive game, although he entered Sunday's contest as a defensive replacement. Meibrys Viloria will serve as the starting catcher again Monday.

Raleigh required stitches on his right ear to seal a laceration that he sustained after he was hit in the side of the head by a bat during an intrasquad game Sunday, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports.

Fortunately, the 23-year-old catcher was cleared of a concussion, so he should be ready to resume game action within the next few days. Raleigh received an invite to the Mariners' summer camp after slashing .251/.323/.497 between stops at High-A Modesto and Double-A Arkansas in 2019.

Barnhart is not in Monday's lineup against the Brewers.

He has yet to start against a lefty this year, so it is no surprise that he will head to the bench with southpaw Brett Anderson on the hill for the Brewers. Curt Casali will start behind the dish and bat eighth.

Smith went 1-for-3 with a solo homer, a walk and two runs scored in Sunday's 11-3 win over the Rockies.

Smith was activated from the injured list after nursing a neck injury and wasted no time making his presence felt. His seventh-inning blast was one of seven long balls by the Dodgers on Sunday. The 25-year-old owns an .841 OPS with three homers this season.

Narvaez went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI in Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Pirates.

Narvaez drove in Luis Urias with a single in the fifth. He added a double in the sixth, bringing his slash line to .151/.286/.189. The lefty swinger figures to continue to get the bulk of the time behind the plate against right-handed pitching.

Nola went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Rangers.

Nola extended the Mariners' lead to 2-0 with his solo shot off Rangers starter Mike Minor in the second inning. The 30-year-old Nola has his safely in five straight games, going 8-for-20 (.400) with two homers, seven RBI and six runs scored in that span. The catcher is slashing .298/.344/.524 with four homers, 16 RBI and 12 runs scored in 24 games overall this year.

Raleigh suffered a head injury during Sunday's intrasquad matchup at the team's alternate training site, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports.

Raleigh was hit by the backswing of a teammate during the game and was taken to get stitches in his head. It's unclear whether he's dealing with a concussion. The 23-year-old has yet to appear in the majors, but he impressed in camp and could join the 28-man roster at some point if injuries occur to the Mariners' catchers, assuming Raleigh himself is healthy.

Trevino is not in the lineup Sunday against the Mariners.

Trevino started the last four games and had two hits in each of those contests, but he'll take a breather Sunday. Jeff Mathis will take over behind the plate for Texas in the series finale.

Ruiz was optioned to the Dodgers' alternate training site Sunday, Alanna Rizzo of Spectrum SportsNet LA reports.

The 22-year-old joined the Dodgers last week and went 2-for-8 with a homer in his first two major-league games. Ruiz was promoted with Will Smith (neck) on the injured list, but Smith was activated ahead of Sunday's game.

Hedges is not in the lineup Sunday against the Astros.

Hedges started five of six games entering Saturday, but he's now been on the bench for the past two contests. Luis Torrens receives another start behind the plate for the Friars.
