Astros' Max Stassi: Returns from injured list
Stassi (knee) was activated off the 10-day injured list Friday, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Stassi has been playing in minor-league rehab games over the past week, clearing the way for his return to the Astros after missing nearly a month with a sore left knee. The 28-year-old will resume his role as the No. 2 catcher behind Robinson Chirinos.

Red Sox's Christian Vazquez: Out of Friday's lineup
Vazquez is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Blue Jays, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.

Mitch Garver C | SEA
Twins' Mitch Garver: Remains out Friday
Garver (heel) is not in the lineup for Friday's game at Kansas City.

Austin Hedges C | CLE
Padres' Austin Hedges: Sits for third straight
Hedges remains on the bench for the third straight game Friday against the Pirates.
There haven't been reports of Hedges battling an injury, so it's possible he's simply fallen behind Francisco Mejia on the depth chart. His .185/.251/.315 slash line would make that seem like a reasonable move if not for the fact that Mejia is hitting .177/.212/.306 himself.

Tucker Barnhart C | TEX
Reds' Tucker Barnhart: On bench Friday
Barnhart is not in the lineup for Friday's game against Milwaukee.
Barnhart and Curt Casali have alternated starts behind the plate for the last seven games. Casali takes his turn Friday, but Barnhart could be back in action Saturday if the pattern continues.

Rays' Anthony Bemboom: Starting rehab assignment
Bemboom (knee) will begin a rehab assignment Friday at High-A Charlotte, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Bemboom was ruled out 4-to-6 weeks in mid-May after suffering a sprained left knee but is now set to work his way back from the injured list. The 29-year-old may be headed to Triple-A Durham once healthy with Mike Zunino and Travis d'Arnaud serving as the top two catchers for the Rays.

Omar Narvaez C | HOU
Mariners' Omar Narvaez: Belts 11th home run
Narvaez went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Thursday's victory over the Orioles.
After Baltimore scored two runs in the first inning, Narvaez put the Mariners on the board with a solo shot to right field in the second. It was his 11th home run of the season, nine of which have come off right-handed pitchers. The 27-year-old is in the midst of the best season of his career, slashing .291/.369/.481 in 206 at-bats.
