Taylor Davis C | PIT
Cubs' Taylor Davis: Delivers grand slam
Davis went 1-for-3 with a grand slam in a 6-5 win over the Cardinals on Saturday.
Davis, who was called up Friday from Triple-A Iowa, brought the Cubs back from a 5-1 deficit with his fourth-inning shot off Michael Wacha. The 29-year-old has only received 23 major-league at-bats spread over three seasons and the home run was the first of his career. He is expected to serve as the team's No. 2 catcher during Victor Caratini's absence.

Austin Barnes C | NYM
Dodgers' Austin Barnes: Out of Saturday's lineup
Barnes is not in Saturday's lineup against the Padres, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

Sean Murphy C | ATL
Athletics' Sean Murphy: Out with torn meniscus
Murphy has a torn left meniscus and will require surgery, Melissa Lockard of The Athletic reports.
This procedure typically requires a 4-to-6-week recovery period, but for catchers, it can be a little longer. Murphy was on track to make his big-league debut this summer, so this is a big blow for the A's. He is hitting .324/.402/.459 with one home run and a 19:9 K:BB in 87 plate appearances with Triple-A Las Vegas.

Gary Sanchez C | MIL

Sanchez went 1-for-2 with a solo home run in a 7-3 loss to the Twins on Saturday.
Serving as the designated hitter, the 26-year-old absolutely crushed his homer to left-center field in the eighth inning to draw the Yankees to within three runs. Gary Sanchez C | MIL
Yankees' Gary Sanchez: Smashes two homers
Sanchez went 3-for-4 with a pair of solo home runs in a 6-3 victory against the Twins on Friday.
The 26-year-old absolutely clubbed two bombs, but unfortunately, nobody was on base either time. That's been common for Sanchez this season, as he has 10 homers but only 20 RBI. Sanchez also barely walks, but thanks to 12 extra-base hits in only 68 at-bats, he still has a 1.069 OPS (.735 slugging percentage). Sanchez is also hitting .265 with 12 runs.

-
Danny Jansen C | TEX
Blue Jays' Danny Jansen: On bench Friday

-
Roberto Perez C | BOS
Indians' Roberto Perez: Day off Friday
Perez is not in the lineup for Friday's game versus the Mariners, Mandy Bell of MLB.com reports.
