Naylor is out of the lineup for the first game of Friday's doubleheader against the White Sox.

Naylor will rest up during Friday's matinee, yielding to Austin Hedges behind the dish against right-hander Shane Smith. Naylor is slashing .177/.278/.365 with nine home runs and a 26.8 percent strikeout rate in 235 plate appearances this season.

Teel is out of the lineup for the first game of Friday's doubleheader against Cleveland.

Teel will avoid a matchup with southpaw Logan Allen in Friday's matinee. Edgar Quero will bat cleanup and fill in behind the dish.

Wells went 1-for-3 with three RBI in Thursday's 6-5 extra-inning win over Seattle.

Wells was able to rack up at least three RBI for the seventh time this year, and he drove in two in the ninth inning to tie the game at 5-5. The 25-year-old lefty-hitting backstop occasionally loses playing time to Ben Rice behind the plate in New York's loaded lineup, but the former is doing his part to maintain a steady role. Wells is batting .271 with three homers, three doubles and 10 RBI over his last 48 at-bats (14 games).

Baldwin isn't in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Athletics.

Baldwin will get a day off Thursday after going 2-for-5 with a three-run homer during Wednesday's win over the A's. Sean Murphy will get the nod to start at catcher instead while batting fourth in the series finale.

Langeliers isn't in the lineup for Thursday's game versus Atlanta.

Langeliers will retreat to the bench Thursday after going 1-for-8 during the first two games of the series. Austin Wynns will take his place behind the plate and bat seventh in the series finale.

The Orioles optioned Banuelos to Triple-A Norfolk on Thursday.

Banuelos was added to the roster prior to the first game of Thursday's doubleheader against the Mets, but he didn't play in that contest and is now headed back to the minors. Reliever Colin Selby will absorb Banuelos' roster spot.

Jansen isn't in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Red Sox, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Jansen will head to the bench to begin Tampa Bay's four-game set against Boston after going 2-for-6 with an RBI and a run scored during the Rays' previous series in Detroit. Matt Thaiss will catch for Taj Bradley instead Thursday and bat eighth.

Adams isn't in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Cardinals, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

The Nationals will give Adams a chance to regroup Thursday after the 29-year-old backstop went 1-for-12 with four strikeouts over his last three contests. Drew Millas will start at catcher instead and bat eighth.

Torrens is not in the lineup for the second game of Thursday's doubleheader in Baltimore.

After going 0-for-4 at the dish in the first game of the twin bill, Torrens will grab a seat for the nightcap. Hayden Senger is catching and batting ninth as the Mets try to avoid the doubleheader sweep.

Pages is absent from the lineup for Thursday's contest versus the Nationals.

Pages had made nine starts in a row at catcher, so he's earned a breather for Thursday's series finale. Yohel Pozo will be behind the dish and bat eighth for the Cardinals.
