Diaz went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk Saturday in a 6-2 victory versus the White Sox.

Diaz gave San Diego some extra cushion in the eighth inning with a two-run shot to left-center field. It was his sixth homer of the season and his first since joining the Padres in late August. In fact, prior to Saturday, Diaz -- who belted a career-high 18 long balls with the Rockies in 2021 -- hadn't gone deep since June 5, a stretch of 41 games.

Dingler went 2-for-4 with a walk, a triple and two RBI in Saturday's 6-4, 10-inning win over the Orioles.

Dingler snapped an 0-for-9 slump that spanned his last three appearances and recorded the second triple of his rookie season. The 25-year-old catcher has mostly struggled in his debut campaign, slashing .143/.175/.286 across 24 games, but he still should figure into Detroit's future plans behind the plate.

Wong is absent from the lineup for the first game of Sunday's doubleheader against the Twins, Mac Cerullo of the Boston Herald reports.

Danny Jansen will do the catching for the Red Sox in the first game of the twin bill. Wong is likely to be back in the lineup for the nightcap.

Alvarez went 2-for-4 with a double, a home run and three RBI in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Phillies.

The 22-year-old catcher stayed hot, taking Ranger Suarez deep for a solo shot in the second inning before adding a two-run double in the seventh off Orion Kerkering. Alvarez has 11 homers on the season, and five of them have come in his last nine games -- a stretch in which he's batting .286 (8-for-28) with 13 RBI.

Raleigh went 2-for-5 with an RBI single and a walk in a win over the Rangers on Saturday.

Raleigh authored one of five multi-hit efforts on the night for the Mariners while achieving the feat for the sixth time in September. The 27-year-old backstop has already reached the 30-home-run threshold for the second straight season despite currently being mired in a nine-game power drought, and he's carrying a .265 average and .829 OPS across 18 games thus far in September as the Mariners continue pushing for a wild-card spot.

Herrera went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 5-0 win over the Brewers.

Herrera turned on an Aaron Civale curveball and sent it over the right field fence for his first home run of the season. He had been getting steady at-bats earlier this month, but that's no longer the case since Gabriel Moreno was activated off the injured list a week ago. Herrera is batting .226/.277/.312 over 39 games in 2024.

Herrera went 2-for-3 with a three-run home run, an additional run, a double and a walk in Saturday's 6-5 win against Cleveland.

Herrera clubbed a three-run shot in the seventh inning to increase the Cardinals' lead to 6-1. The catcher has gone 9-for-20 over his past seven games to push his season batting average to an impressive .293. Herrera remains behind Pedro Pages in the backstop pecking order, however, as Pages has started five of the Cardinals' past eight games behind the plate.

O'Hoppe went 4-for-4 with a solo home run, two doubles and two total runs in Saturday's loss to the Astros.

Though the Angels were blown out, O'Hoppe had an impressive effort at the plate, recording his third game of at least four hits this season. This was the first time he's posted three extra-base knocks in a contest, and among his hits was a solo shot in the fourth inning that marked his 20th homer of the campaign. Among catchers, only Cal Raleigh, Shea Langeliers, Salvador Perez and William Contreras have hit more home runs than O'Hoppe this season.

Caratini went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run, an additional run and a walk against the Angels in Saturday's 10-4 victory.

Caratini blew the game open for Houston in the third inning, belting a three-run shot off Angels starter Reid Detmers to increase the Astros' lead to 6-1. It was the third straight start for Caratini, who played first base Saturday after serving as Houston's catcher Thursday and Friday. Caratini is batting .289 (13-for-45) with five RBI through 15 games in September.

Contreras was held out of Saturday's game against the Diamondbacks due to finger and hip injuries, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Contreras' injuries appear to be minor and he wanted to play Saturday, but the Brewers will rest the 26-year-old catcher for at least one contest. He could be back as soon as Sunday for the series finale, but with the Brewers scheduled for an off day Monday, he could be held out for additional rest until the start of the upcoming road series against the Pirates on Tuesday. Since Sept. 1, Contreras has slashed .286/.397/.500 with three home runs and 12 RBI across 69 plate appearances.
