Pirates' Yasmani Grandal: Receiving Sunday off
Grandal is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Twins, Andrew Destin of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
Grandal started the first two games of the series but will sit for the finale after going 0-for-6 with a walk and a strikeout. Henry Davis will take over behind the plate to catch for Jared Jones.

Korey Lee C | CHW
White Sox's Korey Lee: Not starting Sunday
Lee is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's series finale against the Red Sox.
Lee will sit for a second straight game Sunday after going 0-for-6 with two strikeouts over the first two games of the series. Martin Maldonado will start behind the dish Sunday and bat ninth against Boston right-hander Zack Kelly.

Bo Naylor C | CLE
Guardians' Bo Naylor: Idle vs. southpaw
Naylor is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's series finale against the Marlins.
With Miami sending southpaw Trevor Rogers to the mound Sunday, the lefty-hitting Naylor will begin the contest in the dugout while David Fry gets the start behind home plate. It's the third straight game Naylor has not started, as the 24-year-old has struggled at the plate since May 1, slashing .152/.186/.227 with a 32.9 percent strikeout rate over 66 at-bats during that span.

William Contreras C | MIL
Brewers' William Contreras: Receiving first day off
Contreras is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Tigers.
The 26-year-old was scheduled to sit last weekend but convinced his way back into the lineup, so it's possible the Brewers make another late lineup change. For now, Contreras is set to be on the bench for the first time this season after making 64 straight starts to begin 2024. He's struggled early in June with a .492 OPS through seven contests and is homerless in his past 60 at-bats, so it's a good time for some extra rest. Gary Sanchez will work behind the plate and bat fifth Sunday.

Carson Kelly C | CHC
Tigers' Carson Kelly: Out of lineup Sunday
Kelly is not in the Tigers' starting lineup against the Brewers on Sunday.
Kelly will get a rest Sunday after starting in the first two games of the series, going 2-for-7 with one RBI. With Brewers right-hander Bryse Wilson on the mound for Sunday's series finale, Jake Rogers will start behind home plate and bat ninth.

Tomas Nido C | DET
Mets' Tomas Nido: Remains out of lineup
Nido is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Phillies.
Nido continues to lose work behind the plate to Luis Torrens, with the former sitting for the fifth time in six games Sunday. Torrens went 1-for-3 in Saturday's 7-2 loss, and Nido appears to have lost his grip on the starting job behind home plate.

Kyle Higashioka C | TEX
Padres' Kyle Higashioka: Keeps up power surge
Higashioka went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Saturday's 13-1 win over the Diamondbacks.
Higashioka has hit three homers over four games in June. His increased success at the plate has seen him split the starts at catcher with Luis Campusano, who should still be considered the Padres' primary backstop. Through 62 plate appearances this year, Higashioka is slashing .180/.194/.410 with four long balls, six RBI and six runs scored. His OPS was as low as .377 on May 26, but it's up to .604 now thanks to his increased display of power.

Bo Naylor C | CLE
Guardians' Bo Naylor: Sitting again Saturday
Naylor isn't in the Guardians' lineup for Saturday's game against Miami.
Slashing just .170/.247/.259 through 150 plate appearances, Naylor has begun to see his playing time take a significant hit recently. David Fry, who has had one of the hottest bats in baseball, will pick up another start behind the plate while Kyle Manzardo serves as Cleveland's DH.

Logan O'Hoppe C | LAA
Angels' Logan O'Hoppe: Taking seat Saturday
O'Hoppe is out of the lineup for Saturday's game against the Astros.
O'Hoppe will give way to Matt Thaiss behind the dish Saturday against Hunter Brown and company. After going hitless in three straight games, O'Hoppe is 4-for-9 with two runs scored in his last three contests.
