Phillies manager Rob Thomson said Realmuto (knee) did some work on the field and in the batting cage pregame Tuesday, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

Thomson noted that Realmuto's right knee is feeling better, but the skipper was not ready to commit to the catcher returning to the lineup Wednesday. Realmuto is missing a third straight start Tuesday. Garrett Stubbs has been filling in behind the plate for the Phils.

Realmuto (knee) remains out of the lineup for Tuesday's contest versus the Mets.

It will be the third straight start Realmuto has missed as he deals with right knee soreness. There doesn't seem to be concern yet about a potential injured-list stint for Realmuto, but the possibility certainly increases the more time he misses. Garrett Stubbs will again handle the catching duties for the Phillies on Tuesday.

Moreno went 1-for-2 with a solo home run, three walks and two total runs scored in Monday's 6-5 win over the Reds.

The homer was Moreno's first of the year, and this was the second game of the season in which he had multiple walks. He's gotten off to a slow start with the bat, hitting .248 through 33 contests, but he's made up for it with a 12.8 percent walk rate, easily the best of his career. Moreno has added 16 RBI, 12 runs scored, six doubles and a triple through 117 plate appearances while serving as Arizona's primary catcher.

Rutschman went 2-for-4 with two solo home runs Monday against the Blue Jays.

Rutschman hit both blasts off Blue Jays starter Jose Berrios, giving him eight on the season and three over the last two games. The third-year star is now slashing .309/.343/.491 with 25 RBI and 23 runs to go along with the eight home runs.

Bailey is being evaluated by the team doctor Monday to determine if his cold is related to a concussion he suffered earlier in the season, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

The Giants are operating with caution to ensure Bailey doesn't require an extended absence. He'll be considered day-to-day until the club has more information. Blake Sabol and Jakson Reetz will see time behind the dish until Bailey is cleared for game action.

Reetz was recalled from Triple-A Sacramento ahead of Monday's game against the Dodgers, Amy Gutierrez of the Giants' official site reports.

Reetz was called up to take the spot of Jung Hoo Lee, who was placed on the 10-day injured list earlier in the day due to a left shoulder dislocation. Reetz isn't listed in the team's starting lineup for Monday's series opener, but he could see time behind the dish if Patrick Bailey (illness) struggles to return to health.

Stubbs will start at catcher and bat ninth in Monday's game against the Mets.

Stubbs will make a second straight start while J.T. Realmuto is day-to-day with a knee injury. The Phillies expect Realmuto to avoid a stint on the injured list, but with Tuesday's game beginning at 1:10 p.m. ET, the team could opt to hold him out for another contest while giving Stubbs another turn behind the plate.

Rogers is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Marlins.

After starting three games in a row, Rogers finds himself on the bench for the second straight day. Though Carson Kelly is behind the plate Monday, Rogers still looks to be manager A.J. Hinch's preferred option at catcher.

Blue Jays manager John Schneider said Jansen is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Orioles due to back spasms, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.

The injury explains why Jansen is on the bench for a second straight game after he was held out of the lineup for Sunday's 5-1 loss to the Twins in what appeared to be a routine maintenance day. Jansen came off the bench and pinch hit for designated hitter Daniel Vogelbach in that contest, and Schneider said that he's hopeful Jansen will be available again Monday, if needed. Alejandro Kirk will pick up another start at catcher in Jansen's stead.

Rortvedt is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Red Sox, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Alex Jackson will handle the catching duties for the Rays on Monday, but Rortvedt still appears to be the team's No. 1 backstop, despite having now started in just one of the team's last five games. The lefty-hitting Rortvedt should see the bulk of the starts against right-handed pitching, while the right-handed-hitting Jackson likely represents the top choice to catch when the Rays oppose lefties.
