The Mets reinstated Torrens (personal) from the paternity list Monday.

Torrens was away from the Mets during their weekend series with the Cubs while he welcomed a new addition to his family. He'll be available Tuesday for the start of the Mets' two-game set with the Yankees and will assume duties as Francisco Alvarez's top backup behind the dish. Joe Hudson was designated for assignment to clear room on the active roster for Torrens.

Contreras (forearm) is expected to be activated from the 10-day injured list ahead of Monday's game versus Atlanta, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.

Contreras has played six rehab games with Triple-A Memphis, catching three games and serving as the designated hitter in three others. He's gone just 3-for-21 at the plate in those contests, but the Cardinals are more concerned with how he's feeling and reports on that are favorable. Contreras was initially supposed to be out until around the All-Star break when he fractured his left forearm in early May but will beat that timetable by a few weeks.

Wong went 1-for-5 with a home run and two RBI in Sunday's 7-4 win over the Reds.

Wong got the Red Sox started with a two-run home run in the fourth inning, extending a hit streak to 13 games (17-for-48, .354). The catcher, who entered 2024 with a career .232 batting average, is up to .330 for the season.

Stephenson started at catcher and went 1-for-4 with a double, an RBI and a run scored in Sunday's 7-4 loss to the Red Sox.

Stephenson was back in the starting lineup after being held out for two games with an undisclosed injury, although he did pinch hit Saturday. The Reds had called up catcher Austin Wynns on Friday, but Stephenson's injury was not serious, and Wynns was sent back to Triple-A Louisville on Sunday.

Pages went 2-for-4 with a stolen base and a run scored in Sunday's 5-3 win over the Giants.

The steal was the first of Pages' young career, and Sunday also saw the rookie catcher log his first multi-hit effort. He's hit safely in six of his last 10 games, going 7-for-33 (.212) in that span to lift his season slash line to .155/.227/.276 over 66 plate appearances. Pages has seen a majority of the playing time at catcher lately, as Ivan Herrera was battling back tightness that ultimately landed him on the injured list. Pages is expected to slip back into a backup role when Willson Contreras (forearm) returns, though it's possible Pages maintains some steady playing time since the Cardinals value his defensive skills.

Bailey went 1-for-4 with a solo home run during Sunday's 5-3 loss to the Cardinals.

Bailey got the Giants on the scoreboard in the seventh inning, breaking up Sonny Gray's perfect game with a two-out solo home run. The long ball was Bailey's sixth of the season and his second in the last five games. The 25-year-old is batting 10-for-26 (.385) with four runs and two RBI in his last six games.

Diaz went 3-for-3 with three RBI and two runs scored in Sunday's victory against the Orioles.

Diaz knocked an RBI single in the first inning and later brought home two more runs with a pair of sacrifice flies. After hitting .200 in May, the 25-year-old has gone 18-for-57 (.316) in 15 June contests. Diaz owns a .704 OPS with 37 RBI and 31 runs scored in 67 games.

Astros general manager Dana Brown said Sunday that Caratini (hip) could be out for 3-to-4 weeks, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Caratini landed on the 10-day injured list Friday after sustaining a left hip flexor strain Wednesday against the White Sox. A four-week timeline would put Caratini's return after the All-Star break. Prior to hitting the shelf, the 30-year-old catcher was slashing .248/.287/.429 with four home runs and 17 RBI over 115 plate appearances.

Fry was removed from Sunday's game against Toronto due to right elbow inflammation, Zack Meisel of The Athletic reports.

Fry delivered an RBI single during the first inning of Sunday's contest before being replaced behind the plate by Bo Naylor in the third. The Guardians are currently viewing Fry as day-to-day, though he will likely undergo further testing to determine the extent of his injury.

Jeffers isn't in the Twins' lineup for Sunday's game against Oakland.

Jeffers has alternated starts behind the plate with Christian Vazquez for most of June, and Sunday will simply mark Vazquez's turn to serve as Minnesota's catcher while batting ninth.
