Garver isn't in the Rangers' lineup Saturday against the Astros.

Garver collected hits in his last two starts but has now sat two straight games. Jonah Heim will start behind the dish Saturday, and Ezequiel Duran will serve as the DH.

Raleigh went 1-for-2 with two walks and a run in a loss to the Rays on Friday.

Raleigh managed to close out a strong second half of June with yet another productive outing, pushing his slash line over the last 11 games to an impressive .308/.341/.462. The 26-year-old backstop encouragingly carries only a 14.6 percent strikeout rate over that span as well, a welcome improvement over the 26.5 percent figure he entered the stretch with.

Murphy went 1-for-2 with a two-run home run and a walk in a loss to the Rays on Friday.

The veteran got the start at designated hitter and once again thrived versus a lefty, taking what turned out to be a less-than-100-percent Shane McClanahan (back) deep in the second inning with Teoscar Hernandez aboard. Murphy's bat seems unfazed by the fact he sees sporadic playing time, as he's now hitting .409 (9-for-22) with two doubles, three homers, seven RBI, a walk and four runs across his last six starts dating back to June 10.

Langeliers went 2-for-4 with an RBI single, a stolen base and a run in a win over the White Sox on Friday.

The slumping catcher pushed his season average back over the Mendoza Line with the multi-hit effort, only his second such game since June 4. Langeliers had been mired in a 4-for-36 slump over the previous 10 games before Friday's productive night, and despite his .202/.267/.356 slash line, he retains a seemingly firm hold on his spot as the primary backstop and occasional designated hitter.

Contreras is not in the lineup for the first half of Saturday's doubleheader against the Yankees, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.

Unsurprisingly, the Cardinals won't ask Contreras to catch two games in one day. Andrew Knizner starts behind the plate for the first game of the day, but Contreras will presumably return to the lineup for the nightcap.

Perez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a win over the White Sox on Friday.

The veteran's 384-foot shot to left center in the fifth inning extended Oakland's lead to 5-1 at the time. It was Perez's third consecutive start and fourth in the last five games -- he's increasingly carving out playing time with his ability to play first base, where he operated Friday, in addition to catcher. Perez's .238/.294/.393 slash line is nothing to write home about, but it's worth noting the first two metrics qualify as his highest since his rookie 2015 campaign, while his slugging percentage is a career best.

Trevino isn't in the Yankees' lineup for Game 1 of Saturday's doubleheader with the Cardinals.

Trevino was already set to sit out Friday's game before it was postponed and moved to Saturday, so it seems the Yankees will stick to the original plan and save him for Game 2. Kyle Higashioka will take over behind the plate and bat ninth.

Leon signed a minor-league contract with the Guardians on Saturday.

Released by the Rangers on June 21, Leon will head to Columbus to join the Guardians' Triple-A affiliate. Leon has only played in four minor-league games this season -- going 3-for-11 with an RBI -- and will serve as an organizational depth piece going forward.

Sanchez will sit Saturday against Cincinnati, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Sanchez sits for the second time in three games, which follows a stretch in which he started six of seven behind the plate. He's been a productive player since joining the Padres at the end of May, slashing .213/.300/.472 with seven homers in 29 games. Austin Nola will be the Padres' catcher Saturday.

Wong isn't in the Red Sox's lineup Saturday against Toronto, Gabrielle Starr of the Boston Herald reports.

Wong broke a four-game hitless streak Friday with a double, and he'll now receive a day off Saturday. Caleb Hamilton will fill in behind the plate and bat ninth.
