Twins' Byron Buxton: Placed on 10-day IL
The Twins placed Buxton on the 10-day injured list Tuesday, retroactive to Saturday, with a left rib contusion.
Buxton hasn't played since taking a pitch to the ribs Thursday, and the Twins have now decided to shelve him for at least another week. His move to the injured list opens a spot for Trevor Larnach (illness) to return from the 10-day IL.

Astros' Yordan Alvarez: Slugs 16th homer
Alvarez went 2-for-4 with a home run, two RBI and two runs scored Monday against the Blue Jays.
Alvarez took Trevor Richards deep in the fourth inning to tally his 16th home run of the season. It was already his second home run in five games during June, and he's also collected five RBI and five runs scored in that span. He also currently leads the league in RBI with 53 across 54 total games.

Rooker went 2-for-3 with a walk and two runs in a loss to the Pirates on Monday.
Rooker reached safely for the third time over the last four games in the narrow loss while generating his first multi-hit effort since May 20. The 28-year-old carries an impressive .263/.368/.497 slash line across 212 plate appearances, giving him his most extensive taste of success at the big-league level yet and affording him regular playing time at the corner outfield spots and designated hitter.

Turner went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Monday's 4-1 loss against the Rays.
Turner was responsible for the Red Sox' lone run Monday with a solo shot off Shane McClanahan in the sixth inning, his seventh homer of the year. The 38-year-old Turner has been swinging the bat well, going 9-for-30 (.300) with seven RBI over his last seven games. He's slashing .266/.351/.416 with 26 RBI and 32 runs scored through 245 plate appearances in his first year with Boston.

Belt went 1-for-5 with a two-run homer in Sunday's victory over the Mets.
After striking out in his first three at-bats, Belt came through with a two-run shot off Dominic Leone in the seventh inning to give the Blue Jays a 6-4 lead. It was Belt's third homer of the season and his first since May 10. While he hasn't hit for much power, Belt's been swinging the bat well after a cold start to the season -- he's batting .342 (25-for-73) over his last 25 games. The veteran first baseman is now slashing .259/.379/.415 with 14 RBI and 16 runs scored through 161 plate appearances this season.

Rays' Harold Ramirez: Late addition to lineup
Ramirez is batting fourth as the designated hitter Sunday against the Red Sox, Ryan Bass of Bally Sports Sun reports.
The 28-year-old was initially absent from Tampa Bay's lineup for Sunday, but he was added shortly before first pitch with Brandon Lowe being a late scratch for unspecified reasons. Ramirez was productive in Saturday's doubleheader, going 5-for-8 with two doubles, two runs, four RBI and a stolen base.

Buxton (ribs) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game versus the Guardians.
Both Buxton and Carlos Correa (heel) will not be in the starting lineup against the Guardians for the finale of the three-game set. Buxton avoided a fracture after being hit by a pitch Thursday, but he'll miss a third straight game while recovering from the injury. Royce Lewis is the designated hitter for Sunday's contest against Triston McKenzie and the Guardians.
