Reyes is not in the lineup Friday against the Nationals.

With the series being played under National League rules, Reyes can't fill his typical designated hitter spot. Cleveland has trusted him with an outfield role just once since acquiring him at the trade deadline, so there's a chance he's already made his final start of the year.

Martinez is not in the lineup Friday against Baltimore, Chris Cotillo of The Springfield Republican reports.

Martinez has gone 10-for-21 with seven RBI over his last five games. Mookie Betts will return from a foot injury but only as a designated hitter Friday, bumping Martinez to the bench.

Choi (foot) is out of the lineup for Friday's game at Toronto.

Choi fouled a ball off his foot Wednesday and will miss at least one contest as a result. The 28-year-old had X-rays come back negative after exiting the game, and it remains unclear whether he's expected to be available this weekend. Nate Lowe will receive the start at first base in his place Friday.

Collins will sit for the first half of Friday's doubleheader against the Tigers.

After posting a .421 OPS over his first 17 career games, Collins has picked things up lately, recording a 1.074 OPS over his last eight contests. James McCann will start behind the plate for the afternoon game Friday, though Collins could get the start in the nightcap.

Jimenez (illness) is back in the lineup for the first game of Friday's doubleheader against the Tigers.

An illness kept Jimenez out of action for the last two games, but he's good to go now, batting cleanup as the designated hitter. He owns an excellent .373/.407/.696 slash line over his last 24 games.

Collins went 2-for-3 with a double, two RBI and a run scored in Thursday's 8-0 win over the Indians.

Collins is finishing strong, having hit safely in seven of eight games (11-for-31, .355) after collecting only four hits in his first 49 at-bats. He's been given a lot of plate appearances as the designated hitter, which could become his primary role in 2020. Despite the rookie's .672 OPS in the majors, the White Sox believe in Collins' bat. He's hit 22 home runs combined between Triple-A and MLB this season, reaching double-digit home runs for the third straight season.

Canha (groin) may be available off the bench for Thursday's game against the Mariners, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Canha did some pregame running, which went so well that he believes he can enter off the bench if necessary. He'll likely be re-evaluated again Friday to determine whether he can return to the starting nine.

Ohtani (knee) played catch while sitting down Wednesday to start his throwing program, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Ohtani underwent surgery on his left knee in mid-September to address a bipartite patella, but now that he's been given the green light to throw, he'll continue to ramp up his activity until mid-December.

Alvarez isn't in the starting lineup for Thursday's game against Los Angeles, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Alvarez will head to the bench with the playoffs right around the corner. Alex Bregman is set to serve as the designated hitter and will bat third.

Vogelbach is not in the lineup Thursday against the Athletics, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports.

Vogelbach is slashing .160/.333/.300 with two home runs and six RBI in 19 games this month. He'll give way to Domingo Santana at DH on Thursday with lefty Sean Manaea starting for Oakland.
