Canha was placed on the 10-day injured list with a sprained right wrist Monday.
Canha suffered the injured Sunday against the Blue Jays. It's not clear how much time he'll miss, but he'll be out until May 9 at the earliest. Ryan Buchter was recalled from Triple-A Las Vegas in a corresponding move.

Athletics' Mark Canha: May be headed for IL
Canha was removed from Sunday's game against the Blue Jays due to a right wrist sprain, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Canha's wrist injury could be serious enough to send him to the 10-day injured list, but Oakland likely won't make a move until re-evaluating him Monday morning. He hasn't found his groove at the plate through the first month of the season, hitting .216 with two homers and four RBI over 17 games.

Jimenez (ankle) will be re-evaluated in two weeks, James Fegan of The Athletic reports.
Jimenez was placed on the injured list Sunday and will not be available to return when his minimum stint is up. Jose Rondon, Adam Engel and Nicky Delmonico are all candidates to see an uptick in playing time in Jimenez's absence.

Angels' Shohei Ohtani: Won't return in upcoming series
Manager Brad Ausmus said Ohtani (elbow) will not play during the team's upcoming home series against Toronto, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
Ohtani has been increasing his workload, most recently hitting in a simulated game. He is set to get about 40 plate appearances in similar action across the next week, so he is not yet ready to return to the club. The team does play a second series during its upcoming homestand that begins May 4, and Ausmus may have left the door open for Ohtani to return then, depending on how he progresses this week.

Buxton (leg) is in Sunday's lineup against the Orioles.
Buxton was absent from the lineup Saturday after fouling a ball off his leg in Friday's action. However, the injury was not serious, and he has rejoined the lineup, batting ninth in the team's series finale against the Orioles.

White Sox's Eloy Jimenez: Lands on injured list
Jimenez (ankle) was placed on the 10-day injured list Sunday.
Jimenez exited Friday's action against the Tigers early with the injury. Although X-rays were negative he lands on the injured list, retroactive to April 27. Both Adam Engel and Nicky Delmonico could see a bump in playing time in Jimenez's absence.
