Vientos is out of the lineup for Game 1 of Sunday's doubleheader against the Guardians.

Vientos is 2-for-8 with a home run, a walk and three RBI in two games since being promoted Wednesday, and he'll step out of the lineup for Game 1 of Sunday's twin bill. Daniel Vogelbach will serve as the designated hitter versus Cleveland righty Tanner Bibee.

  • Mark Canha LF | TEX

Mets' Mark Canha: Sitting Game 1

Canha is out of the lineup for Game 1 of Sunday's doubleheader at Cleveland.

Canha has a .235/.278/.373 slash line through 16 games in May and will hit the bench for Sunday's matinee. Jeff McNeil will move to left field while Eduardo Escobar receives a start at the keystone.

  • Jesse Winker DH | NYM

Brewers' Jesse Winker: On bench versus lefty

Winker is not in the starting lineup Sunday versus the Rays.

Winker will take a seat as the Brewers face left-hander Jalen Beeks on the mound Sunday. Darin Ruf will take over at designated hitter and bat fifth in the series finale with Tampa Bay.

  • J.D. Martinez DH | NYM

Dodgers' J.D. Martinez: Belts three-run blast

Martinez went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in a loss to the Cardinals on Saturday.

Martinez's lone hit of the contest was a big one, as he connected for a three-run homer in the sixth inning to tie the game 3-3. The long ball was his sixth of the campaign and his second since returning from a stint on the injured list May 12. Since being activated, he's notched a hit in all but of the eight contests in which he's played, though that has amounted to a modest .212 batting average. Martinez has also knocked in nine RBI over the eight-game span.

  • Kyle Lewis DH | ARI

    Diamondbacks' Kyle Lewis: Ramping up

Lewis (illness) played in an Arizona Complex League game for the second time in three days Friday, the Arizona Republic reports.

Lewis played left field Wednesday and Friday. The outfielder has been out since April 8, so a significant rehab stint will likely be needed before returning from the injured list.

  • Cubs' Christopher Morel: Goes yard again Friday

Morel went 1-for-4 with a walk, a two-run home run and two additional runs scored in Friday's 10-1 win over the Phillies.

He wrapped up the rout by taking Andrew Bellatti deep in the ninth inning. Morel has six homers in nine games since his promotion, batting a blistering .359 (14-for-39) during that stretch with one steal, 12 runs and 12 RBI.

  • Marcell Ozuna DH | PIT

Braves' Marcell Ozuna: Drives in three runs

Ozuna went 2-for-4 with three RBI in Friday's victory against the Mariners.

Ozuna tied the game with an RBI single in the seventh inning before adding two insurance runs with another single in the eighth. He's now riding a six-game hitting streak, going 8-for-24 (.333) with eight RBI during that stretch. Still, the veteran outfielder is sporting an ugly .189/.289/.434 slash line through 30 games.

  • Joc Pederson DH | TEX

Giants' Joc Pederson: Doing light baseball activities

Pederson (hand) is continuing his rehab and doing light baseball activities, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.

Pederson was placed on the injured list Monday with a bruise on his right hand retroactive to May 13, and he could end up seeing a minimum stay on the IL.

  • Matt Carpenter DH | STL

Padres' Matt Carpenter: Sitting out against lefty

Carpenter is not in the lineup Friday against the Red Sox.

Nelson Cruz will serve as the designated hitter and bat fifth versus the Red Sox and left-hander James Paxton. Brandon Dixon, called up Friday from Triple-A El Paso, will start at first base and hit seventh.

  • Bryce Harper DH | PHI

Phillies' Bryce Harper: Not ready for first base action

Phillies manager Rob Thomson said Friday that it will be at least another month before Harper (elbow) plays first base, Corey Seidman of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.

Harper continues to throw on the side and will soon increase the distance of those workouts to 90 feet, but the Phillies won't rush the 30-year-old slugger into any kind of defensive duty after he returned far earlier than anticipated from Tommy John surgery. He's slashed .314/.386/.490 with two home runs through 13 games out of the DH spot since being activated May 2.
