Vogelbach is not in Tuesday's lineup against the Brewers, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

He will head to the bench with lefty Aaron Ashby starting a bullpen game for Milwaukee. Vogelbach is hitting .250/.400/.364 with one home run in 16 games this month.

Morel is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Marlins.

Morel homered and walked in Monday's contest, but that was not enough to earn him a spot in Tuesday's lineup. Morel owns a .590 OPS since the start of September, so even though the Cubs are out of the playoff hunt, he is getting a breather every few days.

Reyes is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Marlins.

Reyes went 1-for-3 Monday but just 3-for-29 (.103) over his last eight games, so he will be held out for the second time in four games. Jared Young will serve as the Cubs' designated hitter Tuesday night.

Blackmon went 3-for-5 with a triple and an RBI on Monday against the Giants.

Blackmon drove in his 76th run of the season with an RBI single in the first inning and also chipped in a two-out triple seven frames later. He has emerged out of a prolonged slump and is in the midst of a modest three-game hitting streak, during which he's collected six hits across 13-bats. Though Blackmon is no longer a threat on the basepaths, he has chipped in 16 homers, 59 runs scored and a .263 average across 551 plate appearances on the campaign.

Meneses went 4-for-4 with a stolen base in Monday's 5-2 loss to Atlanta.

All four hits were singles, but it was still an impressive performance for the 30-year-old rookie, who also added his first career steal in the majors and only his second at any level since 2016. Meneses has been a bright spot for a Nationals team that's otherwise just playing out the string, and he's slashing .315/.342/.493 through 17 games in September with three homers and 12 RBI.

Morel went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run in Monday's loss to the Marlins.

Morel started at shortstop and provided his 14th home run of the season. The rookie also has 10 stolen bases, and his mix of power and speed as well as his ability to play both the infield and outfield is intriguing heading into 2023. Assuming Morel gets regular playing time from Opening Day onward, he could be in line for a true breakout campaign.

Turner isn't in the lineup Monday against Arizona, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.

The veteran third baseman will get a breather after going 6-for-12 with three RBI over the Dodgers' last three games. Max Muncy will take over for Turner while he sits, moving Chris Taylor into the designated hitter role and Joey Gallo in to start in left field, batting sixth.

Soler (back) won't require offseason surgery and will take part in core-strengthening work for the next three weeks before resuming baseball activities, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

Soler has already been shut down for the 2022 season, but assuming he experiences no setbacks in his strengthening work over the next few weeks, he should be in line for a relatively normal offseason. The 30-year-old is expected to exercise his $15 million player option for 2023 this winter after a disappointing inaugural campaign in Miami in which he posted a .695 OPS over 305 plate appearances.

Canha went 1-for-5 with a stolen base in a 7-3 win Sunday over Pittsburgh.

Canha singled and stole his third base of the season in the seventh inning. He's reached base safely in 13 straight games but is just 10-for-47 in that span as he's walked five times and been hit by four pitches. After leading the league with 27 HBP in 2021, he's second in baseball this year with 21.

Blackmon went 2-for-4 with a walk, a stolen base and a run scored in Sunday's 4-3 win over the Cubs.

Blackmon has found a little more consistency at the plate, going 4-for-16 across his last four games. He's also struck out five times in that span. The steal Sunday was his fourth of the season, his most since he stole 12 bases in 2018. The 36-year-old has maintained a .259/.310/.415 slash line with 16 home runs, 75 RBI, 59 runs scored, 20 doubles and five triples in 127 contests, though he's also seen roughly one day off per week lately.
