Blackmon isn't in the starting lineup for Friday's game against San Diego.

Blackmon is set for a rare day off with lefty Joey Lucchesi slated to toe the rubber for the opposition. Yonathan Daza gets the nod in right field and will bat seventh.

Turner (ankle) has been ruled out for the Dodgers' weekend series against the Mets, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.

Turner has been day-to-day with a mild left ankle sprain, and after being held out of Friday's lineup, the Dodgers announced that the All-Star third baseman won't take the field at all over the weekend. He could have a chance to return beginning Tuesday at home against Tampa Bay.

Manager Dave Roberts said Thursday he didn't believe Turner would start Friday's series opener, so it's no surprise to see him out of the lineup. The veteran third baseman was confirmed to be dealing with a mild left ankle sprain after undergoing an MRI and X-rays this week, and he could return to action later during this weekend's series against the Mets. Matt Beaty receives another start at the hot corner in his absence.

Carpenter is not starting Friday against the Brewers.

The veteran third baseman will head to the bench for the third time in four contests as Tommy Edman receives another start at the hot corner. Carpenter has been better with a .995 OPS in his last 16 games, but he seems unlikely to retake the starting role with Edman also playing well over that stretch.

Ozuna went 1-for-3 with two walks, a solo home run and two runs scored Thursday against the Rockies.

Ozuna took Tim Melville deep in the third inning to record his 27th homer of the season. While he's recorded only six hits in his last 41 at-bats, Ozuna has still managed to hit three home runs in that span. For the season, he's maintained a .254/.33/.495 line across 478 plate appearances while also chipping in 74 runs and 82 RBI.

This is encouraging news for Turner, who has been sidelined since Saturday due to the issue. While the veteran third baseman is being considered day-to-day, the Dodgers can afford to be patient with him seeing as the team has already locked up the NL West. According to David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports, manager Dave Roberts said he isn't ruling Turner out for the team's upcoming series against the Mets, though the skipper doesn't believe he'll play in Friday's series opener.

Harper went 1-for-2 with two walks, a stolen base and a run in a 3-1 loss against the Braves on Wednesday.

The 26-year-old is right about where he was last season in multiple categories during his first Phillies campaign. Harper is batting .255 with 31 home runs, 102 RBI, 88 runs and 12 steals in 513 at-bats this year, and he's swiped four of those bags since Aug. 31.

The Dodgers have already won the NL West, so they can afford to be patient with Turner. Jedd Gyorko is starting at third base and hitting eighth Wednesday.
