Belt left Wednesday's game after rolling his ankle while sliding into second base, CSN Bay Area's Alex Pavlovic reports.

The injury looked pretty bad, as Belt's foot got caught under the rest of his leg, but he was able to walk off the diamond without a limp. He was replaced by Conor Gillaspie at first base, and Matt Duffy and Buster Posey also offer options on the active roster in case the Giants have to make do without Belt for some time. More information as to the severity of the injury should be available after the conclusion of Wednesday's game.

Manager Don Mattingly said Wednesday that Stanton "has a little soreness" on his right side, Clark Spencer of the Miami Herald reports.

Mattingly's announcement gives a bit more context as to why Stanton was left out of the lineup for Wednesday's meeting with the Rays. The slugger hasn't looked like himself at the plate this month, slashing a mere .173/.287/.373 with four home runs and seven RBI compared to the eight home runs and 19 RBI he racked up in April. According to Craig Davis of the Sun Sentinel, Mattingly believes Stanton's rib soreness is minor and the hope is that he won't be sidelined long. Still, Stanton's status heading into Thursday's series finale is uncertain.

Stanton is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rays, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports.

Stanton hasn't gotten a day off since April 29, and considering the slumping slugger's .140/.246/.280 slash line over the past two weeks, the Marlins decided it was a good time to get him some rest. Ichiro Suzuki will take over in right field in his stead Wednesday.

Carpenter may need to go on paternity leave, as his wife is expected to give birth Wednesday, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch's Derrick Goold reports.

He is out of Wednesday's lineup, and if he is going to miss another game or two he could be placed on paternity leave. Ruben Tejada is starting at third base Wednesday and Jedd Gyorko is also an option at the hot corner if Carpenter misses further time.

Carpenter is out of the lineup for Wednesday's matchup with the Cubs.

Carpenter will sit out for the first time in 2016 in favor of Ruben Tejada due to his wife giving birth. Carpenter has failed to record a hit in 16 career at-bats against Cubs ace Jake Arrieta, so this is the perfect game for Carpenter to get some rest.

Turner went 3-for-5 with three RBI and one strikeout in Tuesday's win over the Reds.

All three hits were singles, but Turner is keeping the momentum going after homering twice in the San Diego series over the weekend -- Nos. 2 and 3 on the year. He still has more walks (11) than strikeouts (10) this month and appears locked into a top-third lineup spot, but Turner will need to tap further into the power to return to must-start status in mixed leagues.

Harper is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Mets, according to CSN's Chase Hughes.

Harper went 0-for-9 over his last three games and is hitting just .197 this month, so manager Dusty Baker decided to give him a day to clear his head, and hold Harper out for the third time this season. Chris Heisey will get the start in right field in Harper's place.

Soler is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cardinals.

Soler homered, reached base four times, and knocked in three runs in Tuesday's game, but manager Joe Maddon still decided to give him a day off Wednesday on the heels of six straight starts. Kris Bryant will take Soler's place in left field, and Tommy La Stella will replace Bryant at the hot corner.

Blackmon smacked a solo homer, his third of the season, in Tuesday's 8-3 loss to the Red Sox.

It's just Blackmon's 12th career homer against a left-hander, as he took David Price deep in the third inning. The outfielder's season has been disrupted by a brief stint on the DL due to turf toe, but he's been productive when healthy enough to suit up. He's hitting .300 with three homers and 17 RBI to go with three stolen bases across 120 at-bats.

McCutchen went 2-for-5 with a run and an RBI Tuesday against the Diamondbacks.

McCutchen has had a disappointing campaign by his lofty standards, but he's still very much a fantasy asset. While he hasn't been a threat on the base paths this season, the 2013 NL MVP should still score plenty of runs as an integral part of a top-five Pirates offense.
