He's 14-for-32 (.438) with three homers, nine RBI and five runs scored during his eight-game hitting streak.

    Giants' Alex Dickerson: Scores twice Saturday

    Dickerson went 3-for-5 with a pair of runs scored in Saturday's 10-5 win over the Athletics.

    Dickerson got aboard with a double in the sixth inning and scored on an Evan Longoria single. He then singled in the eighth inning and scored the tying run on a wild pitch by A.J. Puk. Dickerson has been productive with a .328/.385/.603 line with six homers, 26 RBI and 28 runs scored in 50 games this year between the Giants and Padres.

    Dodgers' Justin Turner: Smacks 23rd homer

    Turner went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer in a 2-1 win over the Yankees on Saturday.

    Turner took CC Sabathia deep in the third inning for his 23rd home run of the season. The third baseman is hitting .338 in with six home runs this month. For the season, he's slashing .291/.374/.505 across 426 at-bats.

    Angels' Shohei Ohtani: Throws another bullpen session

    Ohtani threw a 35-pitch bullpen session Saturday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

    Ohtani began incorporating breaking pitches into his throwing sessions last weekend and threw more sliders and curveballs Saturday. He is not yet throwing splitters, but everything seems to be going according to plan for the two-way star in his recovery from Tommy John surgery, and his throwing work doesn't seem to be affecting him plate. The 25-year-old is batting .338/.373/.521 this month.

    Twins' Byron Buxton: Set to begin rehab assignment

    Buxton (shoulder) will begin a rehab assignment and DH on Sunday before playing in the field Monday, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.

    The speedy center fielder could return to the big-league roster during the Twins' upcoming road trip. Buxton participated in full baseball activities Friday and is ready for game action. Although it is unclear how many minor-league games the 25-year-old will need before rejoining the Twins, he is scheduled to come off the injured list before the end of August.

    Phillies' Bryce Harper: Remains out of the lineup

    Harper is not in Saturday's lineup against the Marlins.

    Harper was placed on the paternity list Friday and can return either Sunday or Monday. In his absence, Adam Haseley is starting in right field with Brad Miller getting the call at third base.

    Jiminez returns to the lineup Saturday against the Rangers after having missed the past two games with hip soreness.

    The rookie outfielder will serve as the designated hitter and bat fifth against left-hander Kolby Allard. Jimenez is slashing .267/.292/.500 with five home runs, 13 RBI and 11 runs scored in 21 August games. The right-handed power hitter has homered 22 times in his first 91 big-league games.

    Carpenter is not in Saturday's lineup against the Rockies.

    Carpenter is not in the lineup for the third consecutive game, with Tommy Edman taking his place at third base. Carpenter is in the midst of a prolonged slump, going just 4-for-29 with one home run and 12 strikeouts in his last 12 appearances.

    Red Sox's J.D. Martinez: Homers twice, drives in seven

    Martinez went 3-for-4 with a pair of three-run home runs and another RBI in Friday's 11-0 rout of the Padres.

    Martinez socked a three-run home run in the first inning off Chris Paddack, then cranked another three-run shot in the sixth off Eric Yardley to make it an 11-0 game. He also hit a sacrifice fly in the fourth inning en route to his career-high seven RBI night. Through 117 games this season, the 32-year-old is slashing .308/.384/.557 with 78 runs scored, 75 RBI and a team-leading 30 home runs.
