Cabrera went 2-for-3 with three RBI from a bases-loaded walk and a two-run single in Monday's 10-7 win over the Royals. He walked twice overall and scored once.

The free pass Cabrera drew in the fifth started the Tigers' comeback from an early 3-0 deficit, and his two-run single to center in the eighth capped off the scoring on the night and gave Detroit a 10-7 lead they wouldn't relinquish. The 34-year-old is producing below his normal levels thus far and has been hampered by groin and oblique injuries, but he 's now knocked in 13 runs in May and produced five multi-hit outings during the month. He's also sporting the highest line drive and hard contact rates of his career (31.4 and 47.6 percent, respectively), so a surge in both batting average and power could well be looming.

McCutchen went 1-for-3 with a walkoff solo home run in the ninth and two runs scored in Monday's 4-3 win over the Diamondbacks.

After getting a few days off to clear his head recently, McCutchen has now homered in two of his last three games and seems rejuvenated at the dish. Despite hitting just .215 on the season, the 30-year-old outfielder has 23 runs scored, 24 RBI and five steals in 207 plate appearances. While it certainly seems like the decline is full effect for McCutchen, he's showing some signs of turning his season around.

Stanton went 1-for-2 with an RBI single and a walk in Monday's 4-1 win over the Phillies.

The slugging outfielder's third-inning hit brought home Dee Gordon with the Marlins' second run of the night. He's now hit safely in eight of his last 10 games, banging out five multi-hit efforts over that span. Stanton also has eight RBI in his last eight contests, contributing to his impressive total of 19 in May.

Miller (abdomen) will start a rehab assignment with High-A Charlotte on Tuesday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Miller was able to run and hit Monday without a hitch, clearing the way for him to head out on a rehab assignment. If all goes well, he could be back in the lineup after a short rehab stint.

Harper did not suffer an injury in his brawl with Hunter Strickland and the Giants on Monday, Chelsea Janes of The Washington Post reports.

Harper said the only thing he noticed after the fight was a scratch on his arm, which he attributed to teammate Anthony Rendon's attempts to get him out of the scuffle. A suspension may still be coming, but don't expect Harper to miss any time due to injury.

Buxton had X-rays on his lacerated finger come back negative and said he believes he could play as early as Tuesday, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Buxton got his finger caught up in Eddie Rosario's cleat as the pair of teammates converged on a catch in Monday's game. Consider Buxton day-to-day, as his assessment of his own injury may be optimistic, but it doesn't look like this issue will send him to the disabled list or otherwise force him to miss significant time.

General manager Sandy Alderson said he's hopeful that Cespedes (hamstring) will be able to rejoin the Mets in 7-to-10 days, Matt Ehalt of The Record reports.

After suffering a setback over the weekend, the Mets are now hoping Cespedes will be able to return from the disabled list during the team's next road trip, though that is a very tentative timetable. "We are going to take it conservatively with him and see where he is over the next two or three days, and our hope is he would be back in a week to 10 days, but that is conjecture," Alderson said. If that timeline holds, he'd likely slide back into the lineup as the designated hitter when the Mets travel to Texas on June 6.

Buxton was removed from Monday's game against the Astros in the bottom of the sixth inning with a lacerated right ring finger, Phil Miller of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

Buxton hurt the finger when it got caught in the spikes of teammate Eddie Rosario, who slid by Buxton attempting to make a catch. According to Mike Berardino of the St. Paul Pioneer Press, the Twins don't view Buxton's injury as anything serious, so the 23-year-old could be back in the lineup Tuesday if he's able to complete batting practice without incident. Ehire Adrianza ended up replacing Buxton in Monday's contest.

Martinez (foot) will start in right field and bat fifth Monday against the Royals.

Martinez ended up exiting Sunday's game against the White Sox after experiencing renewed soreness in his right foot, but that departure was for precautionary purposes more than anything else. After receiving some treatment, Martinez is feeling well enough to man the field again and looks like a safe activation heading into the upcoming week. Despite opening the season on the disabled list with a sprained Lisfranc ligament in the foot, Martinez hasn't missed a beat since returning from the disabled list in mid-May, slashing .298/.452/.766 over 62 plate appearances.

Canha is out of the lineup Monday against the Indians.

A day after leading off for the Athletics, Canha will head to the bench while Matt Joyce takes over in right field. Canha went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts as the leadoff hitter, so it's unlikely that he'll see that spot in the order too often.
