Soler (leg) is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Padres.

Soler will not start Tuesday for the third day in a row while he continues to recover from his sore leg. He will be back in the corner outfield mix for the Cubs when he is ready to get back on the field.

Blackmon (toe) is back in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Brewers.

After sitting out a pair of games due to a toe injury, Blackmon came on in the ninth inning Monday to pinch hit, which was enough to convince manager Walt Weiss that he was ready to get back into game action. Blackmon will reclaim his usual spot atop the Rockies' order while also getting the start in center field against Chase Anderson and the Brewers. Prior to his toe injury, Blackmon had been absolutely destroying the ball to the tune of a .364/.418/.694 slash line with nine home runs in his previous 30 games.

McCutchen, who went 0-for-4 against the Astros on Monday, has just two hits in his last 16 at-bats.

It looked like his struggles were past him after a successful West Coast road trip, but he's cooled off since returning to PNC Park. Despite working a three-balls-and-one-strike count Monday, he rolled over an outside pitch, resulting in a weak grounder to the left side of the infield -- indicative of both his lack of plate discipline and an unwillingness to go opposite field.

Soler is not in the lineup Monday against the Padres.

Soler was scratched from Sunday's lineup due to soreness in his leg, though he did enter the game as a pinch hitter, providing an RBI single in the Cubs' 11-4 loss to Colorado. It's unclear if the leg is still bothering him, but Soler should still be considered day-to-day until the team says otherwise.

Blackmon (toe) will not start Monday for the fourth day in a row.

Blackmon will miss another game with the bruised toe that knocked him out of Friday's starting lineup and prevented him from playing the past two days. David Dahl will fill in in both center field and atop the batting order for the fourth straight day.

Turner is not in the lineup Monday against the Reds, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.

The everyday third baseman will get a rare day off as the Dodgers to go with Rob Segedin at the hot corner. Segedin will bat eighth in the order against Cincinnati's Homer Bailey.

Martinez went 2-for-4 with two doubles, two runs scored and two RBI in Sunday's win over the Red Sox.

He continues to bully around opposition pitching in August, slashing .441/.486/.809 with six home runs, 11 RBI and 14 runs scored while extending his hitting streak to 12 games. The Tigers are scrambling to stay afloat in a crowded AL wild card race, but Martinez is doing everything he can to get the team into the postseason.

Cespedes went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Sunday's win over the Giants.

Noah Syndergaard and Jeff Samardzija were engaged in a pitchers' duel Sunday, and Cespedes' homer in the seventh inning was the source of the only runs on the night. He is 5-for-13 with three homers, five RBI and three runs scored since returning from a quadriceps injury, and should be part of an improved Mets offense that just got a couple of other key veterans back as well.

Stanton (groin) believes he will return for the last week of the regular season, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports.

Stanton's Grade 3 strain carries with it a six-week minimum for recovery, which would put the slugger in line to rejoin the club for the last week should he meet that timetable. While a return in the final week wouldn't make up for his missed time up to that point, it could push fantasy owners over the top come championship week.

Harper went 2-for-5 with a three-run homer Sunday against the Braves.

After hitting .286 in April, Harper has failed to reach the .260 mark since July 7, and he's slashing .246/.386/.459 on the year. Despite the unexpected production from the fifth-year player, he's at least posting the second-best on-base percentage of his career.
