Stewart is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Yankees, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

The Mets have faced two right-handers since Starling Marte (knee) went on the 10-day injured list and the left-handed-hitting Stewart hasn't started either one of them, as the club has gone with Tyrone Taylor in right field for both contests. While Stewart should still get his fair share of reps in the outfield while Marte is out, it's clear manager Carlos Mendoza isn't planning to use a strict platoon in right field.

Sano went 0-for-1 against Oakland in a 7-5 victory Tuesday.

Sano was activated from the injured list Tuesday after missing 50 games with left knee inflammation. He entered as a pinch hitter in the seventh inning and grounded out to second base. Sano seems likely to return to the role he held prior to the injury, logging semi-regular at-bats while playing at first base and third base as well as getting starts as the Angels' designated hitter.

The Brewers placed Sanchez on the 10-day injured list Wednesday with a left calf strain, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Though the Brewers are labeling Sanchez's injury as a low-grade strain, he wasn't going to be available to play for several days, so Milwaukee opted to deactivate him. Sanchez will be eligible to return July 4, but it's not clear yet whether he'll be ready on that date. Eric Haase was called up from Triple-A Nashville and will step in as the No. 2 option at catcher behind William Contreras.

Garver went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a loss to the Rays on Tuesday.

Garver's night was a microcosm of the dichotomy of his first season with the Mariners -- he flashed his power stroke for the second straight night and left the yard for the fifth time in the last 16 games overall, but he also struck out in his other three plate appearances. The veteran offseason addition has impressively knocked 22 of his 39 hits for extra bases, yet the second-highest strikeout rate of his career (30.0 percent) and a .215 BABIP have conspired to generate an anemic .176 average across his first 68 games in Seattle.

Machado went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run, a walk and an additional run scored in Tuesday's 9-7 win over the Nationals.

Machado has gone 14-for-38 (.368) over his last 10 contests, adding two homers and eight RBI in that span. The third baseman opened the scoring when he took MacKenzie Gore deep in the first inning Tuesday. Machado is still playing catch-up after a slow start to the campaign, but he's up to a .260/.314/.389 slash line with eight homers, 40 RBI, 34 runs scored and five stolen bases through 76 contests. His .703 OPS is the highest it's been since May 5.

Jimenez went 1-for-5 with a double and an RBI on Tuesday against the Dodgers.

Jimenez started in his third consecutive game since being activated from the injured list Sunday, and he has one hit in each contest. His performance Tuesday marked his first extra-base hit in that span, and he also has one RBI and one run scored. Jimenez has hit either third or fourth in every game since his return.

Ohtani went 2-for-4 with a home run, a walk, two RBI and two runs scored in Tuesday's 4-3 win versus the White Sox.

The Dodgers' designated hitter crushed Chris Flexen's fifth pitch of the game 376 feet for a leadoff homer. Ohtani has now batted atop the order eight consecutive games while hitting .419 (13-for-31) with five homers, 14 RBI and 10 runs scored. The Japanese superstar may be on his way to a third MVP campaign, as he's slashing .318/.395/.626 with 24 homers, 63 runs scored, 60 RBI and 16 steals over 356 plate appearances this season.

Sanchez was scratched from the lineup Tuesday against the Rangers due to left calf tightness, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

The veteran slugger was penciled in as Milwaukee's designated hitter, but he'll instead hit the bench due to the injury. Sanchez should be considered day-to-day heading into Wednesday's series finale versus Texas, which is followed by a team day off Thursday. Rhys Hoskins will now serve as the DH on Tuesday while Jake Bauers starts at first base.

Peralta isn't in the Padres' lineup for Tuesday's game against Washington.

Left-hander MacKenzie Gore will start on the mound for the Nationals, so the lefty-hitting Peralta will take a seat on the bench to begin Tuesday's contest. His absence will open up a spot for Bryce Johnson to start in right field while batting ninth.

The Angels reinstated Sano (knee) from the 10-day injured list Tuesday.

Knee inflammation has kept Sano sidelined since the beginning of May. He was medically cleared to return from the IL on Saturday; however, poor performance during his rehab assignment combined with a cluttered Angels roster caused him to remain at Triple-A Salt Lake for a few additional days. He went 6-for-10 with a homer and four RBI in his last two rehab games and will now rejoin the Halos' infield unit, replacing Michael Stefanic.
