Rangers' Wyatt Langford: Back from injured list

The Rangers activated Langford (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list Tuesday, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.

The 22-year-old has been on the shelf more than three weeks due to a hamstring injury but will rejoin the Rangers after a three-game rehab stint with Triple-A Round Rock. Langford was struggling offensively before going on the injured list, as he was in the midst of a 3-for-28 slump. Evan Carter (back) was moved to the 10-day IL in a corresponding move.

  • Kyle Schwarber LF | PHI

Phillies' Kyle Schwarber: Belts 10th homer

Schwarber went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run, a walk and a stolen base in Monday's loss to San Francisco.

Schwarber put the Phillies on the board in the third inning with a two-run shot off reigning NL Cy Young Award winner Blake Snell. It was his fourth homer against a lefty this season, and he's now batting a lofty .333 (27-for-71) against southpaw hurlers. Overall, Schwarber's .359 OBP this season is on pace for the second-highest mark of his career.

  • Trevor Larnach LF | MIN

Twins' Trevor Larnach: Cracks fourth homer

Larnach went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Monday's win over the Royals.

This marked Larnach's second straight start hitting leadoff, casting Edouard Julien into the eighth spot. The 27-year-old outfielder extended the Twins lead to five with a monstrous 441-foot, three-run homer off Royals starter Alec Marsh in the fifth inning. Overall, Larnach is slashing .270/.333/.427 in 99 plate appearances this season.

Blue Jays' Justin Turner: Out of lineup again Monday

Turner is not in the lineup for Monday's game against the White Sox.

Turner has now been absent from the lineup for two straight games and three times over his club's last five contests. He did enter the game twice over that stretch as a pinch hitter and will be an option to do so again Monday when/if the White Sox put a left-handed reliever in. Daniel Vogelbach will start at designated hitter Monday.

Reds' Nick Martini: Drives in pair

Martini went 2-for-4 with two RBI in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Dodgers.

  • Wyatt Langford OF | TEX

Rangers' Wyatt Langford: Could be activated Tuesday

Langford (hamstring) will bat leadoff and start in left field for Triple-A Round Rock on Sunday in what could be his final rehab appearance before he returns from the 10-day injured list, Jeff Wilson of RangersToday.com reports.

The Rangers could use a spark in the lineup, and with Langford playing the field in back-to-back games, it would seem his hamstring is responding well. Texas is off Monday, so Langford's status may not be known until Tuesday's series opener versus the Diamondbacks.

  • Willie Calhoun DH | LAA

    Angels' Willie Calhoun: Resting Sunday

Calhoun is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's series finale against the Guardians.

Orioles' Ryan O'Hearn: Resting against lefty

O'Hearn is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the White Sox.

The lefty-hitting O'Hearn will check out of the lineup with the White Sox bringing southpaw Garrett Crochet to the hill for the series finale. Adley Rutschman will get a day off from catching duties and will serve as Baltimore's designated hitter in place of O'Hearn.

  • Kyle Manzardo 1B | CLE

Guardians' Kyle Manzardo: Idle versus lefty

Manzardo is out of the starting lineup for Sunday's series finale against the Angels.

The lefty-hitting Manzardo will take a seat Sunday due to the Angels sending southpaw Reid Detmers to the mound. Manzardo started in the first two games of the series, and his six-game hitting streak was snapped in Saturday's 4-3 win. Jose Ramirez will serve as the designated hitter Sunday, while Gabriel Arias draws the start at third base.
