  • Mitch Garver C | SEA

Rangers' Mitch Garver: Perfect at plate Monday

Garver went 3-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in a 5-1 victory versus the Angels on Monday.

Garver was the only Texas player with multiple hits in the contest, and his sixth-inning solo shot gave the team its first lead. The veteran is working on a modest five-game hitting streak, during which he's batting an even .500 (8-for-16) with a pair of homers and five RBI. Garver has played in just 82 games this season, but he's been very productive with 19 long balls and 50 RBI along with a .281/.381/.525 slash line.

  • Yordan Alvarez DH | HOU

Astros' Yordan Alvarez: Clubs 30th homer

Alvarez went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a double in Monday's 5-1 win over the Mariners.

Alvarez has homered in back-to-back games to reach the 30-homer mark for the season. His blast Monday was a massive one to right-center field to pad the Astros' lead in the third inning. The designated hitter is at a .297/.411/.593 slash line with 96 RBI, 74 runs scored and 24 doubles through 109 games this season.

  • Joc Pederson DH | TEX

Giants' Joc Pederson: Takes seat Monday

Pederson isn't in the starting lineup for Monday's game against the Padres, John Shea of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Pederson will unsurprisingly bow out of the starting nine with southpaw Blake Snell set to take the mound. Mitch Haniger is set to handle DH duties and will bat sixth as a result.

  • Yankees' Giancarlo Stanton: Out of lineup again

Stanton is out of the lineup for Monday's contest against the Diamondbacks.

Stanton will take seat for the second straight game and the third time in four contests while he battles through a slump at the dish. With Stanton out of the lineup, Aaron Judge will serve as the Yankees' designated hitter.

  • Luken Baker 1B | ARI

Cardinals' Luken Baker: Lifts second homer

Baker went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk in Sunday's 12-2 loss to the Padres.

Baker produced the Cardinals' lone scoring play with his seventh-inning blast. He's seen steadier playing time over the last week, going 4-for-17 (.235) over his last six games. The 26-year-old is batting .217 with two homers, seven RBI, six runs scored and a double across 76 plate appearances in the majors this year. With the Cardinals in last in the NL Central, he'll likely get some more at-bats over the final week of the campaign as part of the evaluation for next season's roster.

  • Marcell Ozuna DH | PIT

Braves' Marcell Ozuna: Sits for matinee

Ozuna is out of the lineup for Game 1 of Sunday's doubleheader against the Nationals, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.

Ozuna started the previous 10 games but will sit for Game 1 on Sunday after he posted a .300/.364/.625 slash line during that stretch. Ronald Acuna will rest his legs as the DH while Kevin Pillar starts in right field.

  • Rockies' Charlie Blackmon: Not starting versus lefty

Blackmon isn't in Colorado's lineup Sunday against the Cubs, Patrick Lyons of TheDNVR.com reports.

Blackmon will retreat to the bench with southpaw Jordan Wicks lined up to start on the bump for the Cubs. Blackmon's absence will shift Elias Diaz to the DH spot while Austin Wynns starts behind the plate and bats eighth.

  • Yankees' Giancarlo Stanton: Held out Sunday

Stanton isn't in the Yankees' lineup Sunday against the Diamondbacks.

Stanton has been in a prolonged slump at the plate since the start of September, though he was able to record a hit in Friday's series opener. Aaron Judge will operate as New York's designated hitter Sunday, with Oswaldo Cabrera starting in right field.

  • Rays' Junior Caminero: Eventful big-league debut

Caminero went 1-for-4 with a walk and a run scored in Saturday's 7-6 win over the Blue Jays.

Making his MLB debut after having just turned 20 years old in July, Caminero collected his first career hit in the third inning, a line-drive single to left field that left his bat with an exit velocity of 112 mph. The Rays' top prospect was then a key figure in his team's comeback rally in the ninth, beating out a potential inning-ending double-play grounder to set the stage for Josh Lowe's walkoff hit. Caminero slashed .342/.404/.747 over his final 20 games with Double-A Montgomery prior to his promotion, and he seems to have carried that confidence with him to the majors. With Tampa Bay having clinched a playoff spot with Saturday's victory, he could see regular action over the final week of the regular season and potentially even find his way onto the postseason roster if he keeps raking.

  • Cubs' Christopher Morel: Goes deep again Saturday

Morel went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's win over the Rockies.

Morel is now up to 25 home runs this season, and he's been on a bit of a power surge recently, with five long balls over his last 11 games. However, the 24-year-old is batting just .217 during the stretch, which shows that he's often a boom or bust option in fantasy. Morel will need to cut down his strikeout rate, which is currently 31.4 percent, if he wants to make more consistent contact at the plate moving forward.
