Keaschall (forearm) has been hitting off a pitching machine and is awaiting final clearance before facing live pitching, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.

Keaschall's next step would be to face live pitching for a week or so and then start playing rehab games. The 22-year-old was given a recovery timeline of two months or more after being diagnosed with a fractured right forearm in late April. He'll likely need a lengthy rehab assignment, so it looks like he could return in late July or early August at this point.

Ohtani is scheduled to pitch two innings in his start Saturday versus Houston, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.

After completing exactly one inning in both of his first two starts as a pitcher, Ohtani tossed two frames in his third outing last Saturday in Kansas City. The two-way star shined in that appearance, giving up just one hit and no runs, but the Dodgers appear intent on keeping his workload limited to a pair of innings again Saturday. Fantasy managers should continue to limit their expectations for Ohtani as a hurler since he isn't likely to go deep enough to qualify for a win or rack up a ton of punchouts. Justin Wrobleski is expected to pitch behind Ohtani in bulk relief.

Santander (shoulder) was transferred to the 60-day injured list Friday, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Santander had been on the 10-day IL due to a subluxation of his left shoulder since May 30, and his move to the 60-day IL means that he won't be eligible for activation until July 30. Blue Jays general manager Ross Atkins mentioned near the end of June that the veteran outfielder was nearing the beginning of a hitting progression, but it appears that Santander remains several weeks away from being ready to return to action. Of late, Davis Schneider has been getting most of the starts in left field in Santander's stead.

Herrera (hamstring) may begin a rehab assignment before the All-Star break, but he is not expected to be activated until after the break, per president of baseball operations John Mozeliak on Friday, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

The fact that Herrera could start rehab games before the break makes it seem like he could be activated at or around the start of the second half, which begins July 18 in Arizona. Pedro Pages has been handling the bulk of the work behind the plate for the Cardinals in Herrera's absence.

Polanco is not in Friday's lineup against the Pirates.

Polanco recently missed a few games with left knee soreness, but he went 3-for-4 with a home run and two doubles in Thursday's game against the Royals. He is slashing .253/.326/.387 with two home runs, seven runs, nine RBI and one steal in his last 20 games. Cal Raleigh is starting at designated hitter while Mitch Garver gets the nod behind the plate.

Winker (oblique) has gone 2-for-6 with a home run and a 2:1 BB:K in two games since his rehab assignment was shifted to Double-A Binghamton.

The veteran outfielder played nine innings as the DH both Wednesday (in the first game of a doubleheader) and Thursday, and while the Mets will likely want to get him some defensive reps before activating him, Winker's bat appears to be just about ready to face big-league pitching. He's been sidelined since May 4, and Winker should slot into the strong side of a platoon at DH once he comes off the IL while seeing occasional action in an outfield corner.

Polanco went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and two doubles in Thursday's 3-2 loss to the Royals.

Polanco opened the scoring with a fourth-inning solo shot. He had gone just 3-for-24 (.125) over his previous seven games, which included a three-game stint out of the lineup due to knee soreness. His homer Thursday was his first since June 13 versus the Guardians. Polanco is now at 12 homers, 39 RBI, 27 runs scored, 11 doubles and three stolen bases while slashing .253/.308/.451 on the year.

Flores is not in the Giants' lineup Thursday against the Diamondbacks, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Flores has struggled for the last couple of weeks, hitting just .114 across his last 44 at-bats. He'll sit for the third time in the last six games as a result, with Dominic Smith filling in at first base.

Yelich isn't in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Mets.

Yelich went 1-for-7 with a home run and a pair of walks during Wednesday's doubleheader, though his 12-game hitting streak came to an end during the early game. He'll grab a seat on the bench Thursday while Eric Haase serves as Milwaukee's designated hitter and bats seventh.

Ramirez went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer in Thursday's 4-1 win over Minnesota.

Ramirez entered the game having gone 0-for-7 to begin the series, but he gave the Marlins a 3-0 lead in the first inning when he took David Festa deep to left-center field. Ramirez is up to 13 home runs on the season, which is second most on the Marlins behind Kyle Stowers' 15.
