The Angels selected the contract of Webb from Triple-A Salt Lake on Sunday.

Webb signed a minor-league contract with the Angels in November, and while he didn't make the Opening Day roster, the right-hander will now have a chance to work out of the big-league bullpen. He'll likely be ticketed for a middle-innings role in the early going.

The Angels reinstated Loup (hamstring) off the 15-day injured list Sunday.

Loup was scheduled to pitch a simulated game Monday as a final test of his health in his recovery from a hamstring injury, but the Angels were evidently comfortable enough with his progress from the injury to bring him back early. Prior to landing on the shelf, Loup collected four holds and pitched to a 7.00 ERA and 2.11 WHIP in nine innings over 11 appearances.

Sewald fired one inning of scoreless relief in a win over Atlanta on Saturday, allowing a hit and a strikeout.

The quick 10-pitch outing was Sewald's fourth consecutive appearance in a non-save opportunity, with his last high-leverage spot coming May 4 against the Athletics. Manager Scott Servais hasn't purposely kept Sewald out of a ninth-inning role over that span; rather, there has been a number of relatively lopsided victories alongside seven losses for the Mariners since that point. Sewald has been a tick more hittable than a year ago, but he's converted all nine save chances and boasts an 11.3 K/9 and 5.2 K/BB ratio.

Bautista (3-1) allowed a hit and a walk while striking out five over two scoreless innings to earn the extra-inning win Saturday over the Blue Jays.

Bautista kept the game tied in the ninth inning and protected a lead in the 10th. This was his longest outing of the season and just the second time he's been asked to get more than three outs. He's on a 7.1-inning scoreless streak that has lowered his ERA to 1.17 with a 1.26 WHIP and 45:16 K:BB through 23 innings overall. Bautista is also 11-for-14 in save chances.

Castillo will pitch following opener Carlos Hernandez against the White Sox on Sunday, Pete Grathoff of The Kansas City Star reports.

Castillo will get a chance to work multiple innings following Hernandez on Sunday against Chicago. In three appearances thus far with the Royals, Castillo has registered a 2.89 ERA over 9.1 innings, but he has walked six while accumulating a 1.50 WHIP.

Holmes (2-2) earned the win over the Reds on Saturday, walking one batter and striking out one in a scoreless inning.

Holmes handled the bottom of the ninth for New York with the score tied 3-3 and held Cincinnati at bay to send the game to an extra frame. The right-hander has now pitched in a non-save situation in each of his past nine outings, compiling a 1.04 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 12:2 K:BB over 8.2 innings while notching two wins and three holds. While those are excellent numbers, Holmes' fantasy value in formats that don't count holds will be minimal unless he's able to work his way up to closing games again.

Weber earned a 10th-inning save against Cincinnati on Saturday, striking out one batter in a perfect frame.

The Yankees scored three runs in the top of the 10th, then turned to Weber to close things out in the bottom of the frame. He needed just 10 pitches to do so, throwing seven strikes and retiring the side in order. The save was Weber's first this season and second in his career. Though New York's closer situation remains unsettled, Weber isn't expected to see many additional chances in that role.

Criswell was called up from Triple-A Durham on Sunday, Steve Carney of StPeteNine.com reports.

Criswell will return to the majors after being sent down April 22. The right-hander has surrendered five runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out 10 batters over 6.2 frames in two appearances with Tampa Bay this season. Criswell has been more effective with Durham, posting a 3.38 ERA over 29.1 innings in seven appearances, including six starts. It's possible that he's asked to make a spot start in the near future, but he'll replace Ryan Thompson on the major-league roster nonetheless.

Romano blew the save in Saturday's 6-5 loss to Baltimore, allowing one run on three hits and zero walks while striking out one over one inning.

Romano entered in the eighth inning with two runners on and a three-run lead. He proceeded to surrender a three-run home run to the first batter he faced -- Ryan O'Hearn -- but stayed in the game and recorded three outs before getting pulled in the ninth with a runner on first. Romano is now 10-for-13 in save chances this year and boasts a 3.32 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 24:6 K:BB over 20 appearances (19 innings). Despite the poor outing, Romano remains locked in as Toronto's go-to closer.

Martin retired all three batters he faced in the eighth inning for a hold in Saturday's 4-2 win over San Diego.

Martin has excelled since returning from the injured list earlier this month. Saturday's effort was his fifth hold in six scoreless outings since May 1, during which the right-hander has allowed three hits and one walk while striking out seven.
