Hernandez will start Sunday's game versus the White Sox, Pete Grathoff of The Kansas City Star reports.

Hernandez opened Wednesday's game versus the Padres and went two scoreless innings, striking out four and giving up two hits. He shouldn't be expected to work much deeper than that Sunday, so it's unlikely he'll be able to qualify for a win in what will probably amount to a bullpen game.

Jansen walked two and struck out none in a scoreless and hitless inning to earn the save in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Padres.

Jansen made things a bit interesting with lackluster control, but he was able to work out of his own mess. He hadn't pitched in a week since taking a pair of blown saves versus the Cardinals last weekend. The 35-year-old closer is at a 3.95 ERA, 1.68 WHIP and 17:9 K:BB through 13.2 innings this season while converting 10 of his 13 save chances. He's had some trouble adjusting to the pitch clock, and it's showing up in his elevated walk rate, but the Red Sox have yet to consider turning to a closing committee.

Pressly earned a save against the Athletics on Saturday, allowing one hit and striking out one batter over a scoreless inning.

Pressly allowed a one-out single but closed things out by fanning JJ Bleday with a runner on second base. The veteran closer has converted all eight of his save chances this season and has kept the opponent off the scoreboard in 13 of his past 14 appearances. He's had a few blow-ups that have led to a so-so 3.26 ERA, but his current 0.88 WHIP is a good indicator of his continued excellence.

Adam picked up the save in Saturday's 8-4 win over the Brewers. He struck out one over two-thirds of a scoreless inning.

Adam got the save opportunity after Pete Fairbanks closed out Friday night's win. Adam didn't allow a single baserunner in his time on the mound. He stepped in for Trevor Kelley, who opened up the ninth and walked both Rowdy Tellez and Brian Anderson before being yanked. Through 21 appearances (19.2 innings) Adam holds a 2.75 ERA with a 25:6 K:BB.

Thielbar (oblique) has resumed playing catch and is expected to throw off the mound next week, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

Thielbar is currently on the injured list with a right oblique strain, but the strain is considered "moderate" and it's a positive development he's back to throwing. It seems likely Thielbar will need a rehab assignment, but he could be back as an option for the Minnesota bullpen around the start of June.

Beeks will be the opener for the Rays on Sunday against the Brewers, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Beeks will be making his fifth start of the season, but he has yet to throw more than three innings in any of his outings this season. The left-hander will likely give way to the Tampa Bay bullpen after a turn through the Milwaukee lineup come Sunday.

Further testing on Alcala's right forearm revealed a radial stress fracture in his right forearm, and he'll be shut down until symptoms resolve, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.

Park notes that the stress fracture is being described as a "pretty rare" injury for a pitcher without much injury history to draw upon. The Twins will evaluate the right-hander again in 10-to-14 days, but there's no clear timeline as to when Alcala will be ready to return. It's possible that Minnesota won't see Alcala as a part of its pitching staff until July.

Loup (hamstring) is expected to face hitters Monday and could embark upon a rehab assignment soon thereafter, Sam Blum of The Athletic reports.

On Friday, Loup threw his fourth bullpen since hitting the IL, and his session coming up Monday is likely to be a simulated game, per MLB.com. It's not certain that he'll need a rehab stint, but if he does it should be a short one given the veteran reliever is less than three weeks removed from his last game appearance. Loup struggled with a 7.00 ERA and 2.11 WHIP through 11 outings prior to the injury; he attributes the poor numbers to throwing more breaking balls and plans to increase his fastball usage upon his return, per Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register.

Weiss (1-0) earned the win over the Reds on Friday, allowing a walk and striking out the only batter he retired.

Weiss was summoned in the top of the seventh with a runner on base, two outs and the Angels down a run. He walked Carlos Correa but was able to escape the frame by striking out Byron Buxton. The right-hander picked up the win as a result of Los Angeles putting up two runs in the bottom of the frame. This was the first big-league appearance of the season for Weiss, who was recalled from Triple-A on Sunday.

Abreu picked up a hold Friday against the Reds, allowing one walk and striking out one batter in a scorless inning.

Abreu threw just 10 of 21 pitches for a strike, but he got through his frame yielding just one baserunner. The right-hander went through a rough stretch from May 9 to May 14 during which he gave up a run in each of his three appearances covering 3.2 total innings, but he's since had back-to-back scoreless outings. Abreu has picked up a hold in each of his past two games after collecting just one hold through his first 15 contests this season.
