Greg Weissert RP | BOS
Yankees' Greg Weissert: Moves down to minors
The Yankees optioned Weissert to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Tuesday, Chris Kirschner of The Athletic reports.
Weissert threw 39 pitches in relief in the Yankees' loss to the Twins on Monday and probably wasn't going to be available for a few days. The Yankees called up Nick Ramirez from Triple-A to replace Weissert on the 26-man active roster and in the bullpen.

Nick Ramirez RP | LAD
Yankees' Nick Ramirez: Called up to majors
The Yankees selected Ramirez's contract from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Tuesday, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.
Ramirez hasn't appeared in a major-league game since 2021, but the 33-year-old southpaw will get another look in the big leagues after turning in a 1.74 ERA through 10.1 innings this season at Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. He'll provide the Yankees with a fresh left-handed bullpen arm.

Konnor Pilkington RP | DET
Guardians' Konnor Pilkington: Recalled from minors
The Guardians recalled Pilkington from Triple-a Columbus on Tuesday, Ryan Lewis of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
Pilkington pitched three innings for Columbus on Saturday but could be available on two days' rest to give the Guardians an extra arm out of the bullpen. If the left-hander isn't needed in relief Tuesday, he could be a candidate to fill the vacancy in the rotation for Wednesday's series finale. However, even in that scenario, Chris Assenheimer of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram notes that Pilkington would likely be available for around 2-to-3 innings Wednesday, so the southpaw would be more of a glorified opener than a traditional starter.

Adam Oller RP | MIA
Athletics' Adam Oller: Grabs second win Monday
Oller (2-0) got the win in an extra-inning victory over the Angels on Monday, firing two scoreless innings during which he allowed a hit and recorded a strikeout.
Oller was making his first appearance since a disastrous five-run outing versus the Cubs over 1.1 innings Wednesday, and the right-hander redeemed himself with a crisp 26-pitch effort that was pivotal to Oakland escaping with just its fifth win of the season. Oller has run the gamut with respect to the quality of his performances during a rollercoaster first month of the season, allowing at least five runs on three occasions and conceding one or none in his other three trips to the mound.

Tim Herrin RP | CLE
Guardians' Tim Herrin: Sent to Triple-A
The Guardians optioned Herrin to Triple-A Columbus on Tuesday, Ryan Lewis of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
Herrin threw 1.2 innings and 31 pitches in Monday's 6-0 loss to the Rockies and is being replaced in the bullpen with a fresh arm in Konnor Pilkington, who was recalled from Triple-A in a corresponding move. Over nine relief appearances this season, Herrin holds a 7.45 ERA.

Brock Stewart RP | LAD
Twins' Brock Stewart: Officially added to roster
The Twins selected Stewart's contract from Triple-A St. Paul on Tuesday, Aaron Gleeman of The Athletic reports.
Stewart will be heading back to the majors for the first time since 2019 after he missed time and then struggled to return to form following Tommy John surgery. He's experienced a velocity uptick in 2023 with St. Paul and has fanned 17 while walking just two over 8.2 frames.
-
Trevor Megill RP | MIL
Twins' Trevor Megill: Moved off 40-man roster
The Twins designated Megill for assignment Tuesday, Aaron Gleeman of The Athletic reports.
The move clears a spot on the 40-man roster for reliever Brock Stewart, whose contract was selected from Triple-A St. Paul. Megill holds an ugly 13.03 ERA and 16:13 K:BB over 9.2 innings with St. Paul this season. He'll now be subject to the waiver process but is expected to go unclaimed.
-
Josh Fleming RP | TOR
Rays' Josh Fleming: In line for opportunity
Fleming could re-enter the Tampa Bay rotation following the demotion of Taj Bradley to Triple-A Durham on Tuesday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
It's not clear whether Fleming will be in line for traditional starts and/or bulk relief appearances, but he should be in store for an expanded role regardless. Fleming has worked as both a starter and bulk reliever this season, making four appearances of at least three innings apiece.

Lou Trivino RP | PHI
Yankees' Lou Trivino: Suffers setback
Trivino (elbow) recently felt discomfort in his right elbow while rehabbing in Florida and will undergo further evaluation, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.
Trivino suffered a ligament strain in his pitching elbow during spring training but progressed to throwing bullpen sessions early in April and was coming close to facing hitters. However, the setback will presumably push back his return timeline. The right-hander is slated to see a team doctor Wednesday, per Max Goodman of The Newark Star-Ledger, and that visit should provide some clarity about the extent of the latest issue.

Brock Stewart RP | LAD
Twins' Brock Stewart: Expected to be promoted
Stewart will be called up from Triple-A St. Paul by the Twins prior to Tuesday's game versus the Yankees, Steve Adams of MLBTradeRumors.com reports.
Stewart, 31, hasn't pitched in the majors since 2019, having toiled in independent ball and undergoing Tommy John surgery since that point. He's regained his pre-op stuff and then some, though, striking out 17 of 35 batters faced at St. Paul while sitting in the upper-90s with his fastball, per Adams.
