Jansen picked up the save during Saturday's 9-7 win over the Angels, tossing a perfect ninth inning with zero strikeouts.

Jansen came on with a two-run lead and retired Anthony Rendon, Hunter Renfroe and Gio Urshela in order on seven pitches. Jansen has now converted four consecutive save opportunities and has yet to allow a run over five appearances.

Pivetta did not factor into the decision Saturday, allowing six runs on five hits and three walks over four innings during a 9-7 win over the Angels. He struck out four.

Pivetta struggled out of the gate and allowed a grand slam to Gio Urshela in the first inning, but he was able to settle down and tossed three scoreless frames before getting into trouble again in the fifth. After giving up three consecutive hits, including an RBI single to Anthony Rendon that cut Boston's lead to 6-5, Pivetta was pulled in favor of Kaleb Ort, who surrendered a game-tying knock to Urshela. Coming into the contest, Pivetta had allowed just one earned run over his first two starts (10 innings), but Saturday's poor outing raised his ERA to 4.50.

Fujinami (0-3) took the loss Saturday, allowing three runs on four hits and two walks over six-plus innings during a 3-2 loss to the Mets. He struck out five.

Aside from a solo shot from Pete Alonso in the fourth inning, Fujinami was sharp through six innings. However, he surrendered a leadoff home run to Mark Canha in the seventh and was pulled after walking the next batter. That baserunner ended up coming around to score on a go-ahead, RBI double by Brandon Nimmo, so three runs were charged to Fujinami. Despite picking up a third straight loss, Fujinami took a major step in the right direction Saturday and will look to build on his success during his next start, which is tentatively scheduled next weekend's three-game set at Texas.

Fleming allowed two runs on three hits and four walks while striking out one over 3.1 innings Saturday against Toronto.

Fleming followed opener Calvin Faucher and Trevor Kelley as the bulk hurler for the Rays, and he wasn't at his best. Fleming walked in a run with a free pass to George Springer in the sixth inning and gave up another run on an Alejandro Kirk single in the seventh. The 26-year-old was strong against Boston with four innings of one-hit, shutout baseball Monday, but wasn't close to as effective against the Toronto lineup. Fleming will likely work in a similar role at some point next week.

Romano was diagnosed with a right rib contusion after picking up a save Saturday against the Rays, Mike Wilner of the Toronto Star reports. He allowed three hits and struck out two while not allowing a run.

X-rays on Romano's ribs returned negative. The right-hander was struck in the rib during Saturday's appearance against Tampa Bay on a liner off the bat from Wander Franco, and while he was able to make the play, he looked to be in significant pain after making the throw over to first base. The positive news is there's no structural damage, but there is a good chance that Romano may need to sit out a game or two while recovering from the rib bruise.

An MRI taken Friday on Kelly's right elbow turned up negative for any structural damage, Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic reports.

The righty reliever is still experiencing discomfort and will pay a visit to the doctor who performed surgery on his arm back in 2020. Kelly was placed on the 15-day injured list Thursday with what has been diagnosed for now as right elbow inflammation.

Rodriguez (shoulder) was transferred Saturday from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day injured list.

Rodriguez recently suffered a setback with his troublesome right shoulder and there is no current timetable for his 2023 debut. This move clears out a 40-man roster spot for top prospect Zach Neto.

Harris was optioned Saturday to Triple-A Las Vegas.

Harris was thrashed for six earned runs while recording only one out in his lone appearance out of the A's bullpen. Richard Lovelady is up from Triple-A Las Vegas in a corresponding move.

Lovelady was recalled Saturday from Triple-A Las Vegas.

Oakland claimed Lovelady off waivers from Atlanta on Thursday, and now he'll jump into the bullpen Saturday afternoon against the visiting Mets. Hogan Harris has been optioned.

Kelley was recalled Saturday from Triple-A Durham, Ryan Bass of Bally Sports Sun reports.

Kelley will join the Rays' bullpen Saturday in place of Ryan Thompson, who landed on the injured list with a right lat strain.
