Rays manager Kevin Cash said Fairbanks (lat) could be ready to face hitters in live batting practice June 27, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Fairbanks will likely continue to ramp up through bullpen sessions this week before the Rays determine if he's ready to take the next step forward in his throwing progression. The 28-year-old was expected to hold a key late-inning role for the Rays in 2022 but he has yet to make his season debut after suffering a right lat strain late in spring training.

Patino (oblique) is scheduled to make his next rehab start Tuesday at Triple-A Durham, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Patino will be making his fourth rehab appearance overall and his second overall with Durham following a two-start stint in the rookie-level Florida Complex League. In his initial outing for Durham, Patino built up to 2.2 innings and 46 pitches, so he may need another rehab start beyond Tuesday's outing to get fully stretched out. Though Patino broke camp as a member of the Tampa Bay rotation before suffering the oblique strain in his season debut April 11, he could have to settle for a multi-inning relief role with the big club once he's activated from the 60-day injured list.

Anderson will meet with a doctor on Tuesday about his continuing elbow discomfort, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Elbow troubles limited Anderson to just six innings last season, and he's yet to pitch this year while recovering from October surgery. While he was able to throw in some capacity this spring, the issue apparently remains troublesome. He hasn't had a clear return date at any point, but the risk of him missing the entirety of the season seems very real. A clearer picture should emerge after his doctor visit.

Montero allowed one hit and struck out one across a scoreless seventh inning to earn a hold Sunday against the White Sox.

Montero struggled for a brief stretch in early June, allowing five earned runs across four appearances that spanned four innings. However, he's gotten back on track in his last two outings, allowing only a hit and a walk while striking out two across two scoreless frames. Montero has been excellent for the balance of the season, maintaining a 2.03 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 27:9 K:BB to go along with nine holds across 26.2 innings.

Lambert threw a scoreless inning while allowing one walk Sunday against the Astros.

Lambert entered the game in the sixth inning in relief of Michael Kopech. He has not surrendered a run since being recalled June 10, tallying four strikeouts as opposed to two walks across 5.2 innings. Lambert has served in a low-leverage role to this point in the campaign, but he has a solid 2.84 ERA and 1.26 WHIP.

Wantz (1-0) was credited with the win against the Mariners on Sunday, pitching a perfect inning during which he struck out two batters.

Angels starter Kenny Rosenberg went 4.2 scoreless frames, falling just shy of qualifying for the win. The victory instead went to Wantz, who pitched a clean sixth inning that included two strikeouts. This was the right-hander's first win of the season and just the second of his big-league career. He's posted a 2.70 ERA, 0.90 WHIP and 12:2 K:BB across 13.1 innings with Los Angeles this season.

Loup earned a hold by striking out the side in a perfect inning against Seattle on Sunday.

Loup came in to start the seventh inning with the Angels up by three runs. He struck out Jesse Winker, Cal Raleigh and Justin Upton on 16 pitches -- five of which were swinging strikes. Loup struggled over his final four starts in May but has started to turn things around this month, posting a 3.38 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 7:3 K:BB across 5.1 innings.

Borucki allowed an earned run on three hits over one inning while recording a strikeout in a loss to the Angels on Sunday.

Borucki pitched to plenty of contact but was fortunate to limit the damage to just one run. The southpaw has generated scoreless efforts in four of his first six appearances in Seattle, but he's given up three earned runs across 1.1 innings in the two outings during which he's been scored upon.

Chapman (Achilles) is scheduled to throw a live batting practice session Tuesday at the Yankees' spring complex in Tampa, Julia Kreuz of MLB.com reports.

Chapman has said that he hopes to return from the 15-day injured list without requiring a minor-league rehab assignment beforehand, but the Yankees will see how he fares while facing hitters Tuesday prior to deciding on his next step. Before he was placed on the IL on May 24 with left Achilles tendinitis, Chapman was beginning to lose some security as the Yankees' closer after giving up at least one earned run in five consecutive outings. While Chapman has been out, Clay Holmes has been lights-out as the Yankees' closer, but manager Aaron Boone said last week that he prefers to deploy Holmes as a high-leverage reliever rather than a pure ninth-inning man once the club is back to full strength. If that ends up being the case, Chapman could re-emerge as the Yankees' main closer once activated, though Boone likely won't hesitate to feed Holmes some save chances every now and then.

Munoz pitched the eighth inning in a loss to the Angels on Sunday, allowing two hits and an unearned run while striking out the side.

Munoz worked himself out of trouble and threw 14 of 19 pitches for strikes despite allowing the two baserunners and one run. The fireballing right-hander hasn't allowed an earned run in eight of his last 10 appearances, and he has a sparkling 9:0 K:BB across the 3.2 frames covering his last three outings.
