The Mariners reinstated Giles (finger) from the 60-day injured list Monday.

Giles has 115 career saves on his ledger, but he's not expected to immediately step in as the Mariners' top choice to close games even while the club continues to take a committee-based approach to the ninth inning. He hasn't pitched in an MLB game since September 2020, after he missed the entire 2021 campaign and the first two months and change of the 2022 season while recovering from Tommy John surgery and a tendon injury to his right middle finger. Perhaps unsurprisingly, Giles looked rusty during his nine-appearance rehab assignment in the minors. Between stops at Triple-A Tacoma and High-A Everett, Giles surrendered 16 earned runs (11 earned) on 15 hits and eight walks over 7.1 innings. The Mariners will likely ease him into the mix in a low-leverage role until he proves worthy of pitching in key spots.

Rangers manager Chris Woodward said Otto (illness) will make a rehab start at Triple-A Round Rock on Tuesday, Dawn Klemish of MLB.com reports.

Otto has resided on the COVID-19-related injured list since June 10, but he's cleared all protocols less than two weeks later and is in the process of ramping up. Woodward said that if all goes well during Otto's rehab outing, he could slot back into the big-league rotation during Sunday's home game against the Nationals.

Cisnero (shoulder/Achilles) reported to the Tigers' spring training facility in Lakeland, Fla. on Monday to continue his rehab program, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

Cisnero said he expects to spend about two weeks building up in Florida before heading to Triple-A Toledo for a rehab assignment. The right-hander opened the season on the Tigers' 60-day injured list while recovering from a strained shoulder and was cleared to begin a rehab assignment June 9, but he was pulled off the assignment after just one appearance when he experienced swelling in his Achilles' tendon.

Baumann was optioned to Triple-A Norfolk on Monday, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

The move comes as teams around the league are required to drop the number of pitchers on their active rosters to 13. Baumann's latest MLB stint lasted four days. He threw a scoreless innings of relief Sunday against the Rays in his lone appearance, dropping his ERA on the season to 4.50.

Fulmer tossed a scoreless inning of relief to earn a hold in Sunday's win over the Rangers. He struck out one.

Fulmer is up to 10 holds this season, and he's pitched well with a 2.16 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and 26 strikeouts across 25 innings. He's surpassed the nine holds he recorded last year, though he also posted 14 saves in 2021 as the Tigers were a bit more fluid with the closer role. This year, Gregory Soto leads the team with 13 saves, while Fulmer has just one so far. It looks like he'll continue to rack up holds, but Soto has the closer role fairly secure at this point.

Garcia (1-3) picked up the win Sunday against the Yankees, striking out three batters over 1.1 perfect innings.

The right-hander put together one of his most impressive outings of the season against one of the league's most dangerous offenses, and Garcia got rewarded for his efforts in top of the seventh inning when the Blue Jays re-took the lead for good in the bottom of the frame. He has yet to record a hold in June, but the 31-year-old has been scored upon only once in his last 10 appearances, posting a 2.89 ERA, 0.64 WHIP and 14:2 K:BB in 9.1 innings over that stretch.

Soto pitched a scoreless ninth inning in a non-save situation during Sunday's 7-3 win over the Rangers. He struck out one.

Soto struggled in his last appearance Thursday, allowing three earned runs and blowing his second save chance of the year. The lefty still has been mostly solid with a 2.88 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 13 saves this season. His strikeouts are down, however, as he's currently posting an 8.6 K/9, down from 10.7 last year and 11.3 in 2020. Soto may be prone to more regular bad outings unless he can start missing more bats, though he should remain fairly secure in his role as Detroit's closer.

Vespi (2-0) struck out two in 1.1 perfect innings to earn the win Sunday over the Rays.

Jordan Lyles (illness) was scratched from Sunday's start, and manager Brandon Hyde opted to go with a bullpen game. Vespi was the reliever to finish the fifth inning and one of three pitchers to exceed three outs in the contest. With just one run allowed in seven appearances this year, Vespi has been an effective low-leverage option for the Orioles. He has a 0.96 ERA, 0.75 WHIP and 8:2 K:BB across 9.1 innings.

Pressly walked one and struck out one in a scoreless inning to earn the save in Sunday's 4-3 win over the White Sox.

Hector Neris allowed the White Sox to get within a run in the eighth inning, but Pressly was able to close the door in the ninth for his 13th save in 15 chances. This was Pressly's fourth straight scoreless outing after he allowed runs in each of his first two appearances in June. The 33-year-old has a 2.55 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 13:6 K:BB through 17.2 innings overall.

Morgan (3-2) allowed a hit and a walk and struck out three in 1.2 innings to earn the win Sunday over the Dodgers.

Morgan allowed an inherited runner from starter Shane Bieber to score in the seventh inning, but the Guardians tied the game in the eighth and went ahead in the ninth to put the reliever in line for the win. In his last 20 innings, Morgan has not been responsible for an earned run, and the three unearned runs he gave up all came in one appearance. He's been strong in a multi-inning role with a 1.62 ERA, 0.57 WHIP and 42:6 K:BB through 33.1 innings overall, and he's also picked up six holds.
