  • Andres Munoz RP | SEA

Mariners' Andres Munoz: Picks up win

Munoz (3-0) earned the win Tuesday against the Twins after firing a perfect inning while striking out two.

Munoz was brought in to pitch the eighth with the game tied, and he was flawless. The Mariners would take the lead in the top of the ninth and Matt Brash came in to earn his first save of the year. Tuesday was only Munoz's second time pitching since June 9 and he last recorded a save June 8. He's still been one of the most dominant relievers in all of baseball this season and firmly remains the team's closer despite how Tuesday night played out.

  • Kenley Jansen RP | DET

Angels' Kenley Jansen: Back in action Tuesday

Jansen (pectoral) walked one in a scoreless and hitless inning in Tuesday's 3-2 extra-inning win over the Red Sox.

Jansen exited his appearance Monday due to a pectoral cramp, but he downplayed the severity of the injury after that game. That proved to be true, as he was able to return to the mound a day later, and while he needed 21 pitches (16 strikes) to complete his inning, he kept the game tied at 1-1 in the ninth. Jansen has allowed a modest three runs, including two homers, over 10.1 innings in June, adding four saves and a 9:3 K:BB in that span. He's at a 4.23 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 25:10 K:BB over 27.2 innings this season while converting all 15 of his save chances so far.

  • Blue Jays' Robinson Pina: Shipped to Toronto

The Marlins traded Pina to the Blue Jays on Tuesday in exchange for right-hander Colby Martin, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

Pina was designated for assignment by the Marlins on Saturday, but he will keep a 40-man roster spot upon switching organizations. The 26-year-old righty pitched one inning in his MLB debut Friday, giving up a solo home run in the process. He'll likely head back to Triple-A to begin his tenure with the Blue Jays.

  • Matt Gage RP | SF

Tigers' Matt Gage: Extends scoreless streak

Gage, who tossed a scoreless inning of relief in Tuesday's win over the Athletics, has now made five straight scoreless appearances since debuting with the Tigers.

Gage has allowed five hits and two walks in his 5.1 total innings of work so far, but he's yet to allow any runs. It's a small sample, though the lefty was also pitching well for Triple-A Toledo, posting a 1.67 ERA and 0.97 WHIP across 32.1 innings with the Mud Hens earlier in the year. Gage could eventually see more high-leverage work out of the Detroit bullpen if he keeps up this level of performance.

  • Yankees' Jonathan Loaisiga: Exits with trainer

Loaisiga was removed from Tuesday's game against the Reds with an apparent injury, Greg Joyce of the New York Post reports.

Loaisiga gave up three runs in just one-third of an inning Tuesday before walking off the mound alongside a trainer. It's not immediately clear what's bothering the 30-year-old righty, but the Yankees should provide more details after they take a closer look at him.

  • Jordan Weems RP | HOU

Astros' Jordan Weems: Added to roster

The Astros selected Weems' contract from Triple-A Sugar Land on Tuesday, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Weems was just signed to a minor-league deal earlier this month and receives a promotion after allowing five runs with a 10:6 K:BB over 11.1 innings with Sugar Land. He'll likely operate in low-leverage situations.

  • Shawn Dubin RP | BAL

Astros' Shawn Dubin: Out with forearm strain

The Astros placed Dubin on the 15-day injured list Tuesday with a right forearm strain, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Dubin last pitched Friday against the Angels and evidently got hurt during that outing. He'll be eligible to return July 6, but given the nature of the injury, it could take him longer than that.

  • Jovani Moran RP | BOS

Red Sox's Jovani Moran: Activated from Triple-A IL

Moran (elbow) has been activated from the 60-day injured list at Triple-A Worcester, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.

Moran missed all of 2024 following Tommy John surgery but has returned to make six rehab appearances in the lower minors, allowing four runs with a 17:5 K:BB over 7.2 innings. The lefty reliever has a career 29 percent strikeout rate in the majors and should get an opportunity with the Red Sox eventually, but he will need to knock off some rust at Worcester first.

  • Marc Church P | TEX

Rangers' Marc Church: On Triple-A IL with elbow injury

Church is on the 7-day injured list at Triple-A Round Rock with right elbow inflammation, Jeff Wilson of AllDLLS.com reports.

Church has spent most of this season at Round Rock and had struggled this month before getting hurt, yielding six runs with a 4:9 K:BB over 4.2 innings. The Rangers are still evaluating the reliever's injury before mapping out a rehab plan.

  • Ian Hamilton RP | ATL

Yankees' Ian Hamilton: Tosses two scoreless relief frames

Hamilton allowed two hits and issued one walk while striking out two batters over two scoreless innings Monday against the Reds.

Hamilton entered in the fifth frame with runners on the corners and one out. He walked a batter and then allowed an inherited runner to score on a single but avoided further damage by inducing a double play. Hamilton yielded just one more hit before exiting in the seventh inning. The right-hander hasn't given up an earned run in any of his past five outings, a span of 6.2 frames. He's registered a 3.90 ERA and 1.23 WHIP on the season while recording two holds.
