Harvey signed a minor-league contract with the Twins on Friday and was assigned to Triple-A St. Paul, Brandon Warne of Access Twins reports.

Harvey was DFA'd by Colorado on June 22. He apparently didn't garner any interest on the waiver wire, and he'll now head to the Minnesota organization to provide pitching depth at Triple-A. Harvey tossed 3.1 scoreless innings during four major-league appearances with the Rockies in 2020 but did not make it into a game during his brief time in the majors this season. He'll take a 2.63 Triple-A ERA with him to St. Paul and figures to be a candidate to join the Twins bullpen later this summer.

Patino was recalled from Triple-A Durham and will start Friday against the Blue Jays.

The right-hander delivered five scoreless frames in each of his past three starts for Durham and will rejoin the Rays for his sixth big-league outing of the year. Patino has pitched well in the majors this season with a 3.60 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 19:4 K:BB across 15 innings.

Burdi was optioned to Triple-A Charlotte on Friday.

Burdi has been in the majors the past two weeks and will head back to Triple-A after surrendering five runs (four earned) on nine hits with three strikeouts and three walks over six innings. The right-hander hasn't fared much better at Charlotte this season with a 5.59 ERA and 1.63 WHIP across nine appearances.

Barlow allowed a run on two hits and struck out two in one inning in Thursday's 15-1 loss to Boston.

Barlow remains an effective reliever for Kansas City. Since the start of June, he's posted a 2.31 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 16:5 K:BB in 11.2 innings. The right-hander has pitched well throughout the year with a 2.09 ERA, and his 2.01 FIP indicates that he's earned his solid stat line so far. The reliever has added 11 holds, two saves and a 2-2 record.

Mejia (1-3) was tagged with the loss Thursday against the Astros after allowing six runs on five hits -- including two home runs -- and two walks while fanning three across four innings.

Mejia was taken deep by Yordan Alvarez in the fourth inning and also gave up a grand slam to Jose Altuve in the fifth before being lifted. He was coming off a strong start last week against the Twins, allowing just one run through six innings, but the wheels came off here, and he's now given up at least four runs in three of his last five appearances. The right-hander, who owns a 6.18 ERA across nine outings (six starts) thus far, is expected to pitch again next week on the road against Tampa Bay.

King (6-5) allowed three runs (two earned) on zero hits and one walk while striking out three over three-plus relief innings to pick up the win over Oakland on Thursday.

King relieved starter Dane Dunning after four innings -- exiting after four or five innings has been the norm for Dunning in 2021 -- and provided bulk relief. For the second consecutive outing, King set down the first nine batters he faced before tiring during a fourth inning of work. A hit batter, a walk and his own throwing error ended the left-hander's night, and all three runners came around to score. King is being stretched out for a possible starting role, but his highest pitch count thus far is 55. The Rangers may instead keep him in a tandem role with Dunning, whose innings are being managed this season.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone recently stated that Peralta (back) is "close to getting over the hump," MLB.com reports.

Peralta has been on the 10-day IL due to a low-back strain since June 26, though the move was deemed retroactive to June 23. Despite Boone's comments, it's not yet known if Peralta will be ready to return to the active roster when first eligible in the next few days.

Manaea (6-5) took the loss Thursday against Texas, allowing four runs on nine hits and a walk over five innings. He had six strikeouts.

Home runs by Nate Lowe and Joey Gallo in the fourth and fifth innings broke things open for the Rangers, who managed to put 10 runners on base against Manaea on the day. It was the third straight loss for the lefty despite a 24:6 KK:BB over 16.1 innings during that stretch. He'll take a 3.13 ERA and 1.24 WHIP into his next scheduled start, projected to come next week in Houston.

Patino is expected to be called up by the Rays to start Friday against the Blue Jays, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Patino has been pitching well for Triple-A Durham, throwing 17 straight scoreless innings. Between his recent form and the injuries to Tyler Glasnow (elbow) and Josh Fleming (calf), Patino could stick with the big-league club if he carries over his strong performance from the minors. Patino has thrown five innings in each of his last three starts, so he could work long enough to earn a win if he can hold the Blue Jays' offense in check.

Sewald tossed 1.1 scoreless frames to earn the save Thursday against the Blue Jays. He allowed a hit and a walk while striking out four.

Sewald entered during the eighth inning after Toronto made it a three-run game. The right-hander sent Vladimir Guerrero down on strikes to finish off the frame. Upon giving up a leadoff single and a walk in the ninth, Sewald whiffed the next three batters to pick up his first save of the year with Kendall Graveman presumably unavailable after pitching 1.2 innings Wednesday. Sewald has been solid in relief this season, collecting five wins to go with a 1.66 ERA and 1.02 WHIP.
