Karinchak made five appearances out of the Cleveland bullpen in September, allowing one run on three hits and a walk over 5.1 innings while striking out eight.

Karinchak wasn't credited with a hold in any of his appearances, but the hard-throwing righty may have positioned himself for a high-leverage role to begin 2020 nonetheless. Before joining the big club as a September callup, the 24-year-old had been one of the most dominant relief arms in the high minors, racking up 74 strikeouts in just 30.1 innings between three stops. Karinchak has the look of a future closer, though he may not earn that assignment during the upcoming season with Brad Hand still on the books for Cleveland.

Lopez did not factor in the decision against Minnesota on Sunday, completing six innings and giving up four runs on six hits and no walks while striking out three.

Lopez did a good job in limiting Minnesota to six baserunners but couldn't keep the ball in the park as all four runs scored against him came via the long ball. The 26-year-old shifted between the bullpen and a starting role in a disappointing season, concluding the campaign with a 4-9 record along with a 6.33 ERA, 1.47 WHIP and 109:42 K:BB across 123.2 innings.

Peters (4-4) gave up seven runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out two through 3.1 innings to take the loss against the Astros on Sunday.

Peters was hit early and often as he allowed three home runs in the disastrous start. It was a rough finish for the 27-year-old, as he posted a 8.91 ERA and an 11:11 K:BB in his final five starts. Peters finishes the season with a 5.38 ERA and 55 strikeouts in 72 innings.

Sulser was designated for assignment by the Rays on Sunday, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.

Sulser had his contract selected in early September and didn't allow a run across 7.1 innings, but he won't remain on the 40-man roster with Yandy Diaz (foot) returning from the 60-day injured list.

Trivino (rib) played catch Saturday, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

The hard-throwing reliever is presumed out until spring training, yet the fact he was able to at least do some light tossing is an encouraging step. Trivino struggled through a disappointing 2019 but should have plenty of time to regain a clean bill of health over the next several months.

Adams (knee) has been unable to undergo ACL surgery on his left knee due to the discovery of a blood clot in his left calf, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports.

The clot is a byproduct of the knee injury, and Adams is already on blood-thinning medication to address the issue. The right-handed reliever will fly home to Florida on Monday and expects to have the surgery in about "a week or two" once doctors provide clearance for the procedure.

Jimenez served up a solo homer but allowed no other baserunners in the ninth inning to earn the save in Game 2 of Saturday's doubleheader against the White Sox.

Jimenez gave up a one-out homer to Yoan Moncada but still only needed 11 pitches to work through the ninth inning. The right-hander has a 4.37 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 82:23 K:BB over 59.2 innings while going 9-for-14 in save opportunities.

Colome (4-5) took the loss and was charged with the blown save after allowing three runs (two earned) on three hits over two-thirds of an inning in Game 2 of Saturday's doubleheader against the Tigers. He struck out one and did not issue a walk.

Colome entered the ninth inning and immediately had a baserunner reach on an error, followed by a single, a flyout and a three-run homer. It's the 30-year-old's third blown save of the season as he's recorded 30 saves with a 2.80 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 55:23 K:BB through 61 innings.

Green will serve as the opener Sunday against the Rangers, Marly Rivera of ESPN.com reports.

The 28-year-old will make his 15th start in the final game of the regular season as Masahiro Tanaka is set to follow as the primary pitcher. Green has a 4.24 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 96:18 K:BB through 68 innings this season.

Lopez (10-15) allowed one run on five hits with one walk and nine strikeouts across eight innings to earn a victory against the Tigers on Saturday.

The 25-year-old was able to end the season on a good note, bouncing back from yielding 16 runs in his last three outings. Lopez was feast or famine in September, yielding either five runs or just one run in every start this month. Lopez ends the 2019 season with a 10-15 record, 5.38 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and 169 strikeouts in 184 innings.
