Stanek allowed two earned runs on three hits over two innings as the opener in the Rays' extra-innings win over the Twins on Thursday. He also recorded three strikeouts.

Stanek didn't have his smoothest performance as an opener, allowing an RBI groundout to Mitch Garver and a run-scoring single to Luis Arraez in an eventful first inning. Despite the hiccups Thursday, Stanek has still put together another strong month in June, generating a 2.70 ERA and 16 strikeouts across 13.1 innings. Moreover, the 27-year-old continues to be highly proficient at keeping the ball in the park, as he's now gone 16 straight appearances without allowing a home run.

Yarbrough (7-3) allowed two hits and no walks while striking out five across three scoreless innings to earn the win Thursday against the Twins.

Yarbrough got unexpected work after the contest turned into an 18-inning marathon. That didn't affect his performance, however, as he managed to work the final three innings without surrendering an extra-base hit. While the win and solid peripherals were nice for those that included him in weekly lineups, Yarbrough's usage in the extra-inning affair muddles his availability for his next turn as a starter or primary pitcher.

Treinen threw 20 pitches off flat ground Thursday, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

This was the first time Treinen threw since being placed on the 10-day injured list on June 22. He'll have a rest day built in Friday, with the next step in his recovery being a bullpen session.

Barria was optioned to Triple-A Salt Lake on Thursday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Barria performed well in his return to the rotation Wednesday, allowing one run on three hits while striking out five across five innings, but it apparently wasn't enough to earn the right-hander another start. The Angels have yet to announce who will replace Barria as the team's fifth starter. Andrelton Simmons (ankle) was reinstated from the injured list in a corresponding move.

Jurado (5-3) picked up the win against the Tigers on Thursday, giving up six hits, striking out four and walking one over seven scoreless innings as the Rangers took a 3-1 victory.

The right-hander spun a gem in this contest, throwing 70 of his 100 pitches for strikes while keeping the Tigers off the scoreboard over seven solid frames and picking up his fifth win of the season. He's been on a nice run lately aside from a seven-run blowup against the Reds on June 16, as he's now fired five quality starts since May 26. For the season, Jurado sports a 3.90 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 41:15 K:BB over 57.2 innings.

Adams claimed his seventh hold of the season in Wednesday's 4-2 win over the Brewers, tossing a scoreless inning while giving up no hits and one walk and striking out two.

Adams has notched a hold in each of his past five appearances while submitting an eye-popping 15:2 K:BB across 6.1 innings during that stretch. The right-hander has clearly gained prominence at the back end of the Seattle bullpen, though Roenis Elias has been similarly brilliant of late and remains locked in as the team's closer. Given that Elias is a southpaw, Adams could become manager Scott Servais' top option for saves in situations when Seattle is opposing a string of tough right-handed bats in the ninth inning.

Beeks is expected to serve as the Rays' bulk reliever for Thursday's game against the Twins.

Beyond naming Ryne Stanek as their opening pitcher, the Rays haven't formally outlined their plans for the series finale. Since Beeks will be available on five days' rest, he'll presumably work longer than any of the team's other bullpen options. The Rays have been more judicious with their usage of the lefty in his last two turns, as Beeks has been limited to three and two frames, respectively.

Pardinho gave up a hit and three walks over four scoreless innings while striking out five for the GCL Blue Jays on Wednesday.

The 18-year-old Brazilian had the beginning of his season delayed due to mild elbow soreness, but Pardinho looked very good in his 2019 debut. The Jays' No. 8 fantasy prospect posted strong numbers in the Appy League last year (2.88 ERA, 1.06 WHIP, 64:16 K:BB through 50 IP), so this assignment to the Gulf Coast League could be a brief one before he gets moved up to face tougher competition. Given his relatively small frame (he's currently listed at 5-foot-10, 155 pounds), low 90s fastball and promising curveball -- not to mention the organization he pitches for -- Marcus Stroman comparisons might be inevitable, but Pardinho is still a very long way from the majors.

Barnes (3-3) took the loss by allowing two runs on three hits in a third of an inning to the White Sox on Wednesday.

Barnes blew his second straight save opportunity when Jose Abreu took a poorly located 97 mph fastball over the Green Monster in left for a two-run home run. The back end of the bullpen is turning into Boston's biggest vulnerability. They've blown 16 save chances, six by Barnes. The outing highlighted an alarming trend for Barnes, who pitched for a second straight day. When pitching on zero days rest, Barnes has a 10.39 ERA. He has a 2.13 ERA in all other outings.

Thornton allowed five runs on seven hits with two walks with four strikeouts across 3.1 innings during a no-decision against the Yankees on Wednesday.

The Blue Jays spotted Thornton a five-run lead in the first inning, but it was gone by the time Thornton left during the fourth frame. The 25-year-old had been better in his last two outings, but the two homers he yielded Wednesday, the first he'd allowed since May 24, fueled the Yankees' comeback. Thornton is 2-5 with a 4.60 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and 91 strikeouts in 86 innings heading into a home date against the Red Sox on Tuesday.
