Stanek gave up one unearned run on a hit and a walk over 1.1 scoreless innings Sunday against the Angels.

Stanek immediately found trouble in the first inning, as the first batter reached on an error. He would then give up a single and a walk, leading to a run crossing the plate. The 27-year-old hadn't allowed a run in four straight appearances entering the day, so he'll aim to get back on track in Tampa Bay's upcoming series at the Yankees.

The Tigers optioned Soto to Triple-A Toledo on Sunday, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

Soto turned in the best outing of his young MLB career after receiving the callup from Triple-A Toledo to start Saturday's game against the Indians. He worked four scoreless frames in the contest and should rank near the top of the list for another start when the Tigers next require a fifth man in the rotation, but a pair of off days during the upcoming weekend will allow Detroit to get by with a short-handed staff for the time being.

Alvarado (personal) is back in the United States and will report to High-A Charlotte prior to returning from the restricted list, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.

Alvarado has been in his native Venezuela to attend to a personal matter since June 2, so it's no surprise he'll require a bit of a tune-up before returning to the majors. The 24-year-old should rejoin the three-way timeshare at closer with Diego Castillo and Emilio Pagan upon his removal from the restricted list.

Manager Kevin Cash expressed optimism a week ago that Alvarado was days away from reporting back to the Rays, but the hard-throwing lefty apparently required more time to tend to a personal matter in his native Venezuela. With Alvarado's return date still up in the air, fantasy managers in shallower or mid-sized leagues may have a tough time justifying keeping him on their rosters. Even when he had been present with the Rays, Alvarado had been stuck in a frustrating three-way closer timeshare with Diego Castillo and Emilio Pagan, notching only six of the team's 17 saves this season.

Ramirez (3-1) allowed three runs over three innings to take the loss Saturday against Cleveland. He gave up six hits and a walk, while striking out one.

Ramirez had been mostly solid for the Tigers before Saturday, but he was hittable in this one. Despite the hiccup, the 29-year-old lefty still has a strong 3.00 ERA and should continue to pitch in a long-relief role in a Detroit bullpen that doesn't have a ton of established options.

Beeks will likely serve as the Rays' bulk reliever behind opener Ryne Stanek in Sunday's game against the Angels.

Beeks has yet to make a proper start this season and typically doesn't face a lineup more than two times through the order, but the arrangement has had a positive impact on his ratios. Over his last 10 outings as a bulk reliever, Beeks has gone 5-0 with a 2.38 ERA and 1.18 WHIP.

Stanek will serve as the Rays' opening pitcher for Sunday's game against the Angels.

Stanek is expected to work no more than two frames before giving way to bulk reliever Jalen Beeks. Over 19 "starts" this season, Stanek has compiled a 1.78 ERA and 0.96 WHIP while holding opposing hitters to a .193 average.

Rogers allowed a hit and a walk in a scoreless ninth inning to secure the save Saturday versus the Royals. He did not record a strikeout.

Rogers certainly didn't take the easy route Saturday as he allowed the tying run to reach second base, but he was ultimately able to preserve the one-run lead. The 28-year-old has a 2.10 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 38:7 K:BB through 30 innings and is 8-for-10 in save opportunities while also recording nine holds.

Lopez (4-7) took the loss Saturday against the Yankees by surrendering five runs on six hits across six innings. He struck out four and walked two.

Lopez allowed four runs on four hits during the fourth inning Saturday but otherwise pitched fairly well for the White Sox. The 25-year-old has a 6.31 ERA, 1.59 WHIP and 76:36 K:BB through 81.1 innings and should take the mound at Texas next weekend.

Hand allowed one hit and struck out two in the ninth inning to record his 20th save of the season in a 3-2 victory over the Tigers on Saturday.

The 29-year-old hasn't allowed a run since May 10, going 13 appearances since permitting a runner to cross the plate. During that stretch, Hand has a 20:3 K:BB over 14 frames. Hand is also a perfect 20-for-20 in save chances with a 3-2 record, 0.88 ERA, 0.75 WHIP and 46 strikeouts in 30.2 innings this season.
