Boxberger (1-3) picked up the win Friday against the White Sox after allowing one run on two hits with one strikeout through one inning.

Called upon in the seventh inning to reliever starter Homer Bailey with one on and no outs, Boxberger allowed Bailey's runner to score on a fielder's choice, then lost Kansas City's lead by giving up an RBI double to Yoan Moncada. Luckily, the Royals came back in the eighth to provide Boxberger enough run support for the win. The 31-year-old has served primarily in middle relief for the Royals this season and owns a 5.25 ERA, 1.54 WHIP, and 25:16 K:BB through 25 appearances.

Treinen walked two and allowed a hit in a scoreless inning Friday night against the Rangers to secure the save.

Treinen retired the first batter of the inning, but he would then allow a base knock and a pair of walks before inducing a double play to end the ballgame. The right-hander has now put together three straight scoreless outings, dropping his ERA to 3.16 with 31 strikeouts over 31.1 innings this season.

Pruitt has been called up from Triple-A Durham as the 26th man for Saturday's doubleheader against the Red Sox, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Pruitt figures to serve as bullpen depth for the Rays before going right back down to the minors. He's given up six runs and struck out four over 7.1 innings this season in the major leagues.

Peters will be recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake ahead of Saturday's game against the Mariners and could make a spot start, J.P. Hoornstra of the Los Angeles Daily News reports.

The Angels have yet to decide whether Peters will start or if he'll come on in relief following an opener, but he's definitely in the pitching plans. Los Angeles will make the roster move official closer to first pitch.

Sadzeck resumed throwing Friday, but he experienced discomfort in his right elbow and is now scheduled for an MRI, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

The Mariners won't know more about Sadzeck's condition until the test results return, though this certainly doesn't appear to be good news for the right-hander. He was placed on the 10-day injured list Tuesday due to right elbow inflammation.

Barria was optioned to Triple-A Salt Lake on Friday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Barria's time in the big leagues didn't last long, as he made just one appearance Thursday, giving up one run on three hits and two walks while fanning six over five innings. Wilfredo Tovar was recalled from Triple-A in a corresponding move.

Betances (shoulder) felt sore following his most recent bullpen session, Meredith Marakovits of YES Network reports.

This appears to be a setback, though manager Aaron Boone referred to the issue as "normal soreness." It's unclear when Betances is expected to throw next or when he's expected to return from the injured list.

Perez was recalled from Triple-A Round Rock on Friday, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Perez owns a poor 6.44 ERA in 36.1 innings for Round Rock this season. He'll fill the bullpen role previously occupied by Brady Rodgers, who was optioned in a corresponding move.

Hearn (ebow) was transferred to the 60-day injured list Friday.

Hearn has been out with elbow inflammation since late April and will now be ineligible to return before June 25. It's unclear when he's expected to be back in game action, though sometime roughly around that date appears possible, as he's recently resumed throwing. The transaction clears a spot on the 40-man roster for Tim Federowicz, acquired in a trade from Cleveland in a corresponding move.

Scott's contract was selected from Triple-A Tacoma on Friday.

The 27-year-old has yet to make his big-league debut and owns a poor 5.88 ERA in 33.2 innings for Tacoma this season, though his 30.3 percent strikeout rate is quite strong. Mitch Haniger landed on the 10-day injured list with a ruptured testicle in a corresponding move.
